About this Cook
I am a wife and stay at home mother of three. I am also a part time student, working on a BA degree in Psychology. I like to cook, read, scrapbook, camp, hike, bike, and travel. I also love to just hang out with my friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook just about anything. I like to cook according to the seasons. Lots of naked fruits and veggies, and Bar B Q in the summer months. During the winter months I love to use my crock-pot and make cozy comforting foods like chili and chicken noodle soup.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was growing up we always ate dinner together as a family. I have a lot of great memories of my childhood seated around the dinner table. Today, my husband and I have carried on that tradition with our own family.
My cooking triumphs
Pulling off a great holiday meal, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas is always a yearly goal of mine. I love to go all out from the China and Silverware, to the homemade family recipes, music and candles. I love it!
My cooking tragedies
Once when I was making cookies with my 7 and 8 yr olds, we decided to play a board game while we waited for the cookies to bake. When the timer went off I ran into the kitchen and grabbed a towel, thinking it was a potholder, and yanked open the oven door. I grabbed the cookie sheet with my left hand and immediately felt the heat on my fingers, so I dropped the pan. But instinctively grabbed it with my right hand and burned my right arm in the process!

Chocolate Trifle
This recipe is heavenly and decadent! My family loves it, and so has everyone else that I have made this for.

Red Velvet Cake IV
This cake had decent flavor, but was slightly dry and crumbled easily.

Cherry Fluff
This recipe is delicious, it was a hit with my whole family, especially the kids. I did substitute a can of diced peaches and a can of mandarin oranges, drained, for the crushed pineapple. This recipe is great either way.
