Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Just wanted to give those of you who are about to attempt to make this (or any cheesecake) if you wish to avoid cracking in your cheesecake, if you have a pan large enough to place your springform pan inside it, and place water about 1/4 the way up the side of the springform. If you do not have a pan big enough to place it in, then just below the cake, place a baking dish with water the moisture will prevent the cheesecake from cracking. Happy Baking!!
