Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

I am really glad that I found this recipe. It's simple, quick, and so delicious. It's also easily modified. I left out the mushrooms and used asparagus like some of the other reviewers. I could also see making this recipe with chicken, and any other vegetable. And don't worry if your butter/cream cheese mixture looks lumpy, like the recipe says, it REALLY smoothes out as soon as you add liquid.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

I made these at Easter, and I was a bit disappointed with the results. They are good, but even with all cheese, I found them a little bland.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Good, but I find that this recipe is comparable to any other chocolate chip cookie recipe. I was expecting something out of this world from all the great reviews, but I was a bit disappointed with the results. If I hadn't had such high expectations, I would have thought that these are very good, but like I said, just as good as any other cookie.

Oatmeal Toffee Cookies

These cookies are delicious! I agree that maybe they aren't the best looking, but their taste more than makes up for their appearance. Just be careful to not overcook. I did this to a batch, and they ended up really tough and hard, instead of crispy on the outside and kind of chewy on the inside. Great recipe!

Tofu Chocolate Pudding

This was surprisingly not bad. Like another reviewer said, you can't really forget that it's tofu, but I don't mind the flavour of tofu so it didn't bother me. It does have chocolate in it, which has a lot of fat and calories, but it's still pretty healthy because of all the soy protein. Also, you don't have to add any sugar, so that's a plus.

Oyako Donburi

This is fast, easy, AND delicious. I added about a tablespoon more soy sauce. It's the closest thing I've found to the oyako don served at local Japanese restaurants. Really, really good!

Vietnamese Style Vegetarian Curry Soup

I LOVE vietnamese food, but I wasn't really impressed with this as a soup, but when I added some rice noodles (rice stick) it made a great noodle dish.

Simple Beef Flavored Gravy

This made really good, easy gravy. I didn't have bouillon cubes, so I added about 3/4 of a can of beef broth, and reduced the water. Great recipe!

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

I wasn't really impressed with this recipe. The only change I made was substituting vegetable oil for the peanut oil. The end result was kind of bland, and it didn't taste authentic to me.

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Sooooooooo good. I thought that the flavour of this salad was great. My brothers didn't really like it, but they don't like the flavour of cilantro. I am still giving this recipe 5 stars because I thought that it was delicious. I would say that this is my favourite recipe from this site. I suggest using whole wheat couscous: it's better for you, and you can't really taste a difference.
