Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2005
An excellent pie crust recipe. I would like to note that the 4 hour refrigeration (or the 10 minutes in the freezer) simulp zerves to make the dough less sticky and easier to roll out and use.

Banana Nut Bread II

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
Delicious. My breadmaker didn't have a quick setting, so i manually set it to mix for 5 minutes (in addition to the manual mixing i did), and bake for 80 minutes. It came out good, but the sides were a tad brown - next time i will try 75 minutes. I also added 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp vanilla extract, and used slightly less than a cup of sugar -- one cup just seemed too much.

Tangy Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2005
Wow, this blew me away. I was planning on making a pear - bluecheese - walnut salad but i wasn't sure what dressing to use on it. I tried this and loved it. Unfortunately it takes a disgusting amount of sugar.

I used pillsbury crescent roll dough and added cheese. This recipe was great -- really rich (read fattening) and delicious and tasty. Highly recommended.

Lamb Masala with Jeweled Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2004
Amazing! This recipe was delicious -- i took people's suggestions and used quality lamb. Chicken would probably be great too. one change: 1 cup of rice isn't quite enough for the amount of sauce (maybe 1.5 cups would be more fitting).

Ziti and Eggplant

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2004
My favorite (obviously). Please try it, and tell me what you think. The cheese bread can obviously be made seperately -- it's delicious even alone. Somehow allrecipes messed up the pita bread recipe. Here is a corrected version. Open the pitas, put a light and even spread of butter on the insides. Sprinkle lots of parmesan cheese and then put on some SWEET PEPRIKA -- i like to make a light sprinkling across each piece. If you want, you can saute some garlic and onions before you throw in the egglant chunks. The cubes of egglant should be about 1/2 x 1/2". The sauce is even better when you weave in some mozzarella cheese at the end when you're mixing the pasta and the sauce together.

Blueberry Muffins II

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2004
This recipe didn't work well for me. The muffins didn't come out of the pan well, didn't rise, and had the consistency of cake (perhaps i over mixed it). They didn't brown, they just burned. I was disapointed.

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2004
Excellent. I used margarine and 1% milk (instead of butter and buttermilk). I also didn't have a mixer (mixed it by hand with a spoon ). They still turned out great: i buttered my muffin pans (instead of using paper sheets), and the muffins came out easily and cleanly. The sugar on top was a nice addition, as it made them crunchy, although spreading a bit of butter on top with 5or10 minutes left might do the same thing. Mine were done after 25 minutes in the oven (5 minutes early). The muffins were soft and tasty -- highly recommended.
