Deep Dark Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2004
Sorry but not inpressed with this cake, had a very plain flavor. My daughter liked it but there again she doesn't like chocolate. I think by far the best cake recipe is " Grandmother's Pound Cake", have made this many times and always comes out great.

Deep Dark Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
Very good cookie, did not find them to rich at all. Only put in about half to 3 quarters of the chips that was called for. Had no problem with the cookie sticking or not raising, in fact they turned out great. The nice thing about this cookie it stays fresh and soft for quite a while, so its great to have on hand in case company comes over. Will be making this cookie many times. Thanks for sharing, Elaine

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
If I could this would be a 10+ .... Wonderful cookie, far better than any store bought oatmeal cookie. I also used more spice. Half the recipe I dipped the fork in sugar and the other half left plain on top. Added lots of raisins, in fact the mixture was so thick had to mix it with my hand, but thats the fun part along with eating them. Thanks for sharing. Ealine

Grandmother's Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2004
good tasting cake, just sweet enough so that no icing is needed. Only one draw back, husband took a bite and could tell it was a box mix, but that did not stop him from eating it. :) A good cake to have on hand for passing around. Thank you for the recipe.

Apple Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2004
Added 2 cans of apples, and way to sweet for my taste. Also tasted more like a cobble than a cake. For something easy to make and share I would make this again.

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2004
Very good recipe. Put in 2 cans of mushroom soup and a can of water along with everything else. The sauce was to thin, so next time I will cut down on the liquds for a thicker sauce. Will also try browning the meat first. Husband had 2 helpings, thats always a good sign to me. Thanks for the recipe. Tonight was the 2nd time making this dish and I have to say it was a 10+. Cooked it this time in a slow cooker on low for about 8 hours, what a difference it made.Try it this way and just see how good it is.Mouth watering. Thanks Elaine

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2004
cookies are very good. I also put in a some almond instead of all vanilla. You really have watch them cook close, becouse they could burn in a minute. When my husband came home he sat down with a cup of coffee and ate 6 of them. that must tell you something.Thank you for shareing. Elaine

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies from Heaven

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2004
These cookies are soooo good. My husband likes peanut butter and I like Chocolate chips so we have the best of both worlds in this cookie. Easy to make and I bet hard to mess up.At first I didn't think they were done becouse they don't get really brown so after 10 mins I looked at the bottom and they were perfect. Thank you so much for this recipe. Elaine

made the recipe on the stove top. The only complaint I have was the beans were very mushy.Try cooking the ham first for a couple of hours then add the beans and potatoes.Still was good and would make it again . Thank you
