Irish Beef Stew with Guinness(R) Beer
The problem may be that like KerryB, I made it on low in my slow cooker, which did not get hot enough to really cook off the alcohol or take away the bitterness of the Guinness. (The meat is quite good.) I like Guinness, but it tastes as if the stout has gone slightly off. If I try this again, I won't do it in the slow-cooker so that the alcohol is cooked off -- It's definitely different getting a buzz from a bowl of stew.

Radish Top Soup
This is super easy and very refreshing. You definitely must blend it in small batches if you don't have a killer food processor. I found it could get very thick in the fridge. I whisked in about little skim milk and it was fabulous!

Deb's General Tso's Chicken
Overall, I liked the result, but the sauce was thin until we added more sugar and a some cornstarch to thicken it. The additional time let the flavors of the peppers, garlic and ginger brighten and strengthen, so that with an extra splash of soy sauce. In the future, I'll change the order of preparation. I'm thinking of simmering the vegetables in the soy, sherry, and vinegar while I'm frying the chicken, then add the sugar (double the recommended amount) as my final step.
