Maple Pancakes

These are good. The first batch I made I used 1 tbsp of eggo syrup and 1 tsp vanilla. It tasted kind of bland, so I increased the eggo syrup to 2 tbsp and it tasted a lot better. I did not have maple syrup so I used eggo syrup. I will eventually buy some maple syrup because I think it will taste even better. But, I have no complaints, it is to easy to make and taste good. Thank you.

Nacho Cheese Sauce

I liked this recipe a lot. I used 6 oz of velveeta (block cheese) and then I added ground beef seasoned with taco seasonings and then chopped a jalepeno pepper (from can or jar) and mixed into the nacho sauce. It was excellent as is or with other items added. Nice consistency and flavor. Next time I will use this recipe on baked potatoes with bacon or beef. Yummy.

Fluffy Pancakes

I followed the recipe exactly and I added about 3 tbsp of eggo syrup into the batter. My pancakes were light and crispy. They were not dry. When you add the melted shortening with cold milk, you will see little lumps, that's fine. After you cook the pancake those lumps will go away. This recipe is the one I am sticking with from this site. My 2 yr old actually asked for more. EXCELLENT!!

Garlic Butter Shrimp

This was my first time making shrimp. I am highly allergic to shrimp, but, I wanted to make a special dinner for my hubby. He loved it. This recipe is so easy. I used frozen raw deveined shrimp and served this with noodles. I wish I could have tasted it. Thanks for the recipe!!

Glazed Chicken Wings

I love this recipe. 1) I seasoned my wings with garlic powder, onion powder and a little seasoning salt. 2) I baked the wings at 400 degrees for 45 minutes on one side and then turned them over and cooked them for another 45 minutes on the other side, ( I like my wings baked crispy, not soggy). 3) Then I mixed together the honey, bbq sauce and a 1/4 cup of soy sauce in a bowl and coat the wings one by one using a spoon to mix the wings in the sauce. I returned the wings to the pan and cook an additional 20 minutes. Excellent texture and taste for me. It sounds like a lot of work but it is not. I usually make about 20 wings. Thanks for the recipe. Oh and F.Y.I when you bake chicken coat the pan with olive oil, I use 3-4 tbsp of olive oil, so that the chicken does not stick the my pan.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

I love the taste of these egg rolls. I bought a package of Pictsweet brand authentic mexican seasoned corn and black beans (which had onions, red & green bell pepper already in it) in place of most of the veggies in this recipe. Absolutely great. I will not fry them the next time, even though it was great, just trying to cut fat as much as possible. I will definitely make this often.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Another great recipe. I did not use basil. I used dried parsley and dried thyme to my liking about 2 tsps each. This recipe is easy to prepare. Perfect, I will make this often. Thanks.

Carrot Cake III

This is an excellent recipe. I used 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar. I used walnuts instead of pecans and I added a 1/4 tsp nutmeg. I used non-stick cake pans and used crisco SPRAY. I did not grease or flour cake pans, just sprayed with crisco spray. I mixed all my dry ingredients together and then added it to the batter. I hand grated my carrots for a finer texture. Making another one today. The cream cheese frosting is Perfect.

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Wow. This is a great icing. I followed recipe exactly and it made my cake taste even better. I made a little einsteins cake for my daughter's birthday and froze the frosted cake in a cardboard box 2 weeks prior. I used a color paste to color the icing and it was perfect!! I am letting my kids decorate their own cake using this icing. Also, use REAL BUTTER like land o lakes. DO NOT use shortening or margarine. Wonderful!!!

Salisbury Steak

I used 1 pkg of ground turkey 85/15. I DID NOT use the egg,ketchup, water, worcesershire or mustard powder. What I did was made the patties as it is written in step 1 but without the egg. Then I used the remaining of french onion soup mixed with a half jar of brown gravy. To make it thick I made a paste out of 1 tbsp of flour and added a little water to the flour until it was moist and looked like paste. Then I stirred the flour paste in the gravy. Covered and cooked for about 20 minutes. Always add water to flour when you add it to a sauce, if you do not, then your sauce will have "flour balls" little balls of flour. This is a very easy recipe. We love it. I make it once a week at least. Thanks Kelly!!

Beef Nacho Casserole

I love it. I use ground turkey instead of beef. I use a half of jar of taco sauce instead of salsa and 1/4 cup of miracle whip. I add cumin, onion powder, garlic powder and chili powder because ground turkey requires a lot more seasoning than beef. I serve this with salad on the side or a vegetable. Yum.

Golden Rum Cake

EXCELLENT!! I will not make this cake again because I ate almost half of it. I used pecans instead of walnuts. To me, this is one of the best and easiest cakes to make. I decided to use 1/4 cup of rum instead of a 1/2 cup of rum, it came out perfect. I will make this for holidays. Again, EXCELLENT!!!

The Best Chicken Enchilada Soup

We love it. It is not grainy from masa harina because this recipe uses corn tortillas. It is not a thick soup but it has a very nice flavor. I did add chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin and salt in replace of the seasonings in this recipe. I also used a can (10 oz) of enchilada sauce instead of salsa. The 2nd time I made this recipe I doubled it. My family ate it up. Oh I almost forgot..I served my soup with thin tortilla chips like tia rosa or mission, they are great with this soup.

Buttercream Icing

I love this recipe. It's easy to make, tastes great and looks perfect on my (wilton) doll cakes. I made the recipe as is, my shortening was butter flavored and I used a 1/2 cup of butter. I was able to pipe flowers on the doll cake as well as frost it. Perfect!! BIG THANKS!!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

I divided the batter into 2 small square pans and baked in a convection oven. I could hardly wait for this bread to cool. My bread was ready in 12 minutes. I drizzled a RUM glaze over the slices as I served the bread. It was great without the rum glaze, but I want a glaze over the servings. Also I used 3 black bananas. I can not wait to make this bread again. Excellent!!

Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas

I used a 1/2 can cream of chicken. Also use seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder and cumin, all to my liking. And I used mild salsa. I like to lightly butter my flour tortillas on one side, add the chicken mixture and add another lightly buttered tortilla on top. Then I brown the butter side and then turn it over and brown the other butter side. I like my flour tortillas a little crispy. I usually dip my quesadillas in sour cream. Yummy!!
