Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2013
I used buitoni alfredo sauce (found near refrigerated pasta in my local store) with 2 tbsps of classico basil pesto in a jar (in my local store near the spaghetti sauce and velveeta cheese). I thawed out frozen chopped spinach & used that in replace of fresh spinach. I used leftover fajita chicken from a taco cabana taco. This dish was very good!!!

Oven-Fried Catfish

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2012
This tasted so good, better than fried. Cut fish into strips. Dip fish in 2% milk, then dip into a bowl of seasonings (seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, little garlic salt, blk pepper) on one side of the fish strip and then dip into cornmeal. Served with southern cabbage & sweet potatoes with tartar sauce and hushpuppies on the side. **Only dip one side of the fish strip lightly into the bowl of seasoning, anymore than that the fish would be very salty.***

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2012
The pork chop crust was soft not crunchy and not crispy. You will need to season the pork chops after dipping them in the egg mixture and before putting them in the bread crumbs. I ended up frying mine to make the crust crispy, which did not work. 4 stars it was edible.

Used 85/15 ground turkey NOT ground turkey breast. Seasoned turkey with onion powder and garlic powder, prior to cooking. Added 2 tbsp beef broth. Did not use celery seeds or chopped onion. Used regular ketchup and kc masterpiece regular bbq sauce. I love it.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2012
I used frozen strawberries, excellent. The next time I made this recipe using frozen blueberries, excellent. My family love this recipe. You can not mess this recipe up. To make it a little thicker use cornstarch a little at a time, until its to your liking. 10 stars for taste & being easy to make. We put this topping on PANCAKES!! Oh and by the way, when I make this recipe, I put everything in a pot and let it cook. I DID NOT USE A BLENDER TO PUREE. I let it cook until the fruit is soft and looks like puree and then refrigerate it until ready to use the next morning for breakfast. If you like bigger pieces of fruit, just add a few pieces the last few minutes of cooking. Yum!!

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2012
LOVED IT!! I used 6 chicken legs and 2 tbsp miracle whip mixed with 3tbsp of bottled ranch dressing. I brushed the miracle whip-ranch sauce mixture on to the chicken legs. Then I seasoned the plain breadcrumbs with onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt, paprika and black pepper. I placed seasoned breadcrumbs into a plastic bag and added one chicken leg at a time to coat. I baked chicken about 30 minutes on one side and turned it over and baked 30 minutes more. **The pan that you make these in should be dry not wet. An example, if you rinsed out your pan moments before baking this dish, the chicken might get soggy on the bottom. Also use cooking spray instead of oil in the pan. ** This recipe made a very flavorful, crispy oven fried chicken. I am making this recipe again tomorrow using 12 chicken legs. YUM!!

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
OMG!! This recipe deserves 10 stars. I reduce the italian seasoning to 1 tsp and the oregano to 1/2 tsp. I used onion powder in replace of the onion. I used 2% milk instead of skim milk. I used 1/4 cup of italian bread crumbs. I did not use red pepper flakes. I used the recipe for meatballs and get this...MEAT NACHOS!! For meat nachos you prepare the meat as usual but do not make meat into balls. Just leave the meat scrambled and put it an ovenproof glass pan or whatever you use to bake with. Let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes in a convection oven or in a regular oven it may take up to 20 minutes to be done. I love you lovestohost for this recipe.

Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2012
I used a 1/2 can cream of chicken. Also use seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder and cumin, all to my liking. And I used mild salsa. I like to lightly butter my flour tortillas on one side, add the chicken mixture and add another lightly buttered tortilla on top. Then I brown the butter side and then turn it over and brown the other butter side. I like my flour tortillas a little crispy. I usually dip my quesadillas in sour cream. Yummy!!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
I divided the batter into 2 small square pans and baked in a convection oven. I could hardly wait for this bread to cool. My bread was ready in 12 minutes. I drizzled a RUM glaze over the slices as I served the bread. It was great without the rum glaze, but I want a glaze over the servings. Also I used 3 black bananas. I can not wait to make this bread again. Excellent!!

St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
Excellent. I could not stop eating the ravioli and I don't even like ravioli. I used great value beef ravioli from w**lmart, progresso italian bread crumbs and classico tomato & basil sauce. I actually dipped my ravioli in the sauce instead of pouring it over the ravioli. The taste reminds me of sausage pizza and I had a salad on the side. Loved it!!

I love this recipe. It's easy to make, tastes great and looks perfect on my (wilton) doll cakes. I made the recipe as is, my shortening was butter flavored and I used a 1/2 cup of butter. I was able to pipe flowers on the doll cake as well as frost it. Perfect!! BIG THANKS!!
