mostly cajun dishes. beans and rice, shrimp stew, bbq shrimp, gumbo, etouffee; but also soups, chili, pasta like bolognese and lasagna yogurt mac-n-chz, breads, meatloaves, mexican casseroles, wild rice casseroles and risottos.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
i've used this recipe several times and have always been happy with the results. last night, i had half of the butter needed and half of the chips. made it anyway, using half butter and half vegetable oil. the light amount of chips was fine, but i definitely dont recommend this recipe with vegetable oil. the cookies came out flat, just huge and flat. so have all of the ingredients or you'll be wasting your time and your resources. i still stand behind the recipe. minus the walnuts, just not a fan of nuts or berries in my food. everything else is spot on.

Peppy's Pita Bread
easy enough. i didnt follow perfectly, i dont have a bread machine and it has been my experience to put add the yeast to the warm water for a good four minutes with the occasional slow stir before whipping it all together with a wooden spoon. needed the basic ingredients and amounts, i'm very happy with the outcome. i made a greek dip and brought the pitas over to a family member's for dinner. impressed, they wanted to know where we bought them. whole foods? fresh market? nope, naw. made them and baked them on a cast iron griddle in the oven at 500°. i shouldnt be so proud, this recipe reads very easy and it was easy to make like that too. so, many thanks.
