Apple Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
This coffee cake was a hit at home and at the office!!! I did add cinnamon to the batter as someone had suggested. Someone else suggusted not to leave any longer that the 30-35 min, even tho when toothpick testing you need to remember your moist apples in there, and that more than likely your cake done in the suggested time frame, I followed this and it was perfect. Thanks for sharing :)

Baked Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This recipe ok but I did NOT care for how it turned out from the oven. I think I could be a fan with this idea: Once sauce is made marinade chicken overnite in 3/4 of the sauce. GRILL chicken, NOT bake! As chicken grilling occasionally brush with remaining sauce. When you bake in the oven the skin just does not get crisp, so then you get what seems like soggy. Salt and pepper a must!!! ingredient list does not call for it but needs that contrast, too sweet otherwise. GRILL GRILL GRILL My guess also would be to marinade overnite and place in smoker for about 2 hours :) I'll try these this summer when it warms up where I live and I will repost and let you know ;)

Italian Chicken Bow Tie Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
I've been making this dish for about 20 years. I like to cut my boneless skinless chicken breast into small cubes and brown in olive oil that I sauted couple of cloves of minced garlic in, dash of salt/pepper. I used a large can of drained diced tomatoes that I marinate in a mix of olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt pepper, garlic powder, sugar and tarragon. Once chicken & noodles done mix all ingredients together, taste, adjust seasonings if need be and spoon in bowl and top with fresh grated ramano cheese. This recipe, 3, add some spices and marinate those tomatoes, 5!!!

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
I was really exicted to try these. I hadn't had chickpeas ever until about 8 months ago I tried them on a salad and their awesome. I had gotten an email from all recipes regarding this recipe and couldnt wait to try it. I looked at alot of the reviews and decided to bake at 300 for an hour as not to burn and they are a nice and toasty brown, but very chewing. I'm wondering if two tablespoons of olive oil is (two) much. If maybe thats why their not drying out well. I will try them one more time with less oil. I did pat dry, well and gently tossed the oil and spices (garlic salt, onion powder, seansoned salt, seasoned pepper, kosher salt and lemon pepper) together and placed on a nonstick foil lined cookie sheet, lo and slow, but not was I was hoping for.

Apple Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
This recipe is AWESOME!!! I did take some advice from another member who posted a rating: the 1 cup sugar-I changed to 1/2 cup white 1/2 cup brown. Added 2 tsp. of vegetable oil and I grated the apples. Baked at 325 for exactly one hour. FANTASTIC!!! Oh, there's a recipe called Apple cake and butter sauce, I made the butter sauce from that recipe to go with this, YUM NUMMY :) Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Dry Rub for Ribs

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
This dry rub is awesome! I've always been so used to a wet sauce when it comes to bbq'in. Watching the food net work "Diners, drive ins and dives", Guy usually stops at several BBq joints and they always use a dry rub. So I thought why not. I really don't want to try any others. We bought a Brinkman smoker and pork ribs and pork steak and put some soaked hickory chips in foil and smoked slow and low, OMG! Amazing. I'm going to wally world to buy extra ingredients so I can make a huge batch and place in air tight container and have on hand at all times. Thanks for a great recipe! :)

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
This is a great recipe! It has a wonderful taste. I did make alot more bacon than it called for just for more (meat) and I like lots of different cheese together so I mix swiss and parmasean as well as the cheddar. On the croutons get the ones that say "seasoned". Oh, before I forget, it shows prep and cook time, cook time shows 50 min and in the directions below it show bake 40 min., bake 50min or until egg in center done. 40 min not long enough. Thanks for a great recipe!

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
This was Yummy! I did add more seasonings. I love seasoned salt, seasoned pepper and tarragon, so I added that to my chicken and I did baste often like it calls for and when the top of the chicken had that nice roasted golden brown top to it, it was ready. Wonderful flavor. It does help to place it in a sort of tin foil boat so that you can get to the juices easier for basting.

Italian Chicken with Pesto Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2007
I did like this recipe. I would change only 1 thing, I did add a little butter to the potatoes and a sprinkle of sugar to tame down the pesto, it was almost too salty. I have a very picky daughter and she took to this dish well.

Ok. Better than one posted by Candy. I made my own sauce. The one in the pic looks too thin. Good flavor. Correct spelling is Braciole.

Braciola III

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2006
Ok. Needs more Italian spices. I've seen the recipe with Italian bread crumbs in it and raisins also. If your going to take the time to make this don't use jar sauce, make your own. Oh, the spelling is wrong, should be Braciole.

Chicken Pecan Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2004
WOW! This recipe was excellent!!!!! I knew before I even finished preparing that it was going to be great! The aroma was wonderful! I did add just a little more chicken (1/2 cup) to make it a little more hearty and I only added 6oz of swiss so I would have the opportunity to add a good sprinkle of parmesan, ramono and mozzerlla. I LOVE cheese and all these go well together. I highly recommend this quiche. My husband isn't big on quiche because he says it's not "meat and potatoes", he really like this one and he's also the reason for the addition in chicken. Thanks Shannonlia for such a great dish!

Fragrant Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2004
The chicken in this recipe was very moist with lots of juices. However, the taste was very bland! I would suggest adding not only your apple and celery to the cavity but salt, pepper and lemon zest then place the chicken breast side down. I would also add a chicken bouillon cube to the hot cup of water along with juice from the lemon and then sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, celery salt and other ingreds listed in recipe.
