Terrible! The cake was awful. I really think the proportions were wrong somewhere. Everything seemed to be good until adding the boiling water. I'm wondering if only 1/2 cup should be added. The cake took forever to bake, was an odd consistency, and tasted terrible. Also, it wasn't anything close to a white cake! By the time the cake finished baking, it was dark brown.
I followed the recipe to the letter and I'm a pretty good scratch baker. This recipe isn't one I'll be keeping.
