Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2014
This was so good! I really wasn't expecting a lot from it because I rarely cook tortellini and I used canned peeled tomatoes. (Since they're not in season I didn't worry about sacrificing the fresh for canned. I also didn't add the zucchini.) I purchased ground sausage instead of having to remove the casings, I used dried herbs for the fresh... Anything to make this easier. Like I said, I wasn't expecting a lot. But Wow! What a surprise. Everyone loved it and went back for seconds. Definitely a do over. I served it with Italian bread. I may consider adding spinach next time but that's just a thought. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Italian Chicken with Garlic and Lemon

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2014
The only changes I made to this (out of necessity) were substituting thighs for breasts, used squeezed lemon with bottled lemon juice and using garlic salt instead of minced garlic. Even with both of these changes, this recipe was a HUGE hit with my family! Will definitely be making it again and will add it to my FAVS folder. (I only used half of the chicken suggested but did not half the sauce which turned out to be a very good idea since my family was sopping it up. Literally....they were scraping it onto their plates with the chicken and potatoes.)

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2014
This was fast and easy. Our family likes a bit of a kick so I added a bit more cumin and garlic. Someone suggested a mexican rice recipe on this site that I made and it went well with the chicken. Will definitely make again. Yum!

PHILADELPHIA New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2014
This was incredible!!! I made this for my husbands birthday and everyone enjoyed it! When I made it the second time I made the mistake of using the other Philadelphia Cheesecake Recipes (this is III). The other calls for 1/4 c. less graham cracker crumbs and adds sugar and flour to it. I found that it made the crust drier and stuck to the pan. I used canned cherries but the cheesecake can stand alone. The fruit topping is just a bonus.

PHILADELPHIA® New York Cheesecake

This cheesecake is incredible! I used the canned cherry filling as suggested although I think the cheesecake can stand alone. May try blueberries or strawberries next time.

My Country Style Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
Made as per the recipe. No changes needed. Very yummy. I'd suggest doubling the recipe only because our family of 4 would've had seconds if we had had enough. Made with sliced potatoes and green beans.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2013
Other than using chicken quarters instead of just thighs, I made this to the letter of the recipe and it was fantastic. Definitely a do over. The only think I didn't like was having to clean the baked on teriyaki sauce. Ugh! Maybe next time I'll use foil to line the pan.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
Thank God for bread machines. These were so easy that I made them 3 times in a single week. I ate so much that I'm tired of eating them. I'm sure that will wear off eventually and I'll be back to stuffing my face again. :-) The first batch I made I used the size recommended in the recipe. The other times I made them smaller. Friends and family loved them, too. Thanks.

Prosciutto-Wrapped Cherry-Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
Phew! Thank God for Chef John's video which I used for hints on the rolling and prep. Luckily it was for a special occasion (Valentine's Day) so I won't be making it again any time soon. Great taste and presentation.

Slow Cooker Lemon Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
Easy and moist. Will probably add more lemon next time because I didn't have a strong enough lemon taste but that could just be a preference thing.

Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
This is by far the best roast I have ever made. Everyone fought over every last piece of beef, potatoes and carrots. Yes, the ingredients sound a little weird together but...Wow!. I can't believe how incredibly easy it was, too. The only thing I did differently was to omit the flour. I try to cut flour wherever I can because it's really not good for you. In this case, it wasn't even necessary. Oh, and I cooked it on a higher temp for only less than 5 hours because I started later than I had planned. Major YUM! Will be making this again. (It was already requested for next week.) Thank you, thank you to keylimeone for posting this yumminess. (Have I mentioned how yummy this was?)

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
All of these reviews sound absolutely wonderful. I may consider making some changes every once in while to mix things up. Fortunately this recipe works well on its own. The only thing I did change (out of necessity) was the seasoning. I didn't have taco seasoning and was too lazy to make my own (which I have done before using a Allrecipes recipe.) Instead, I used Tastefully Simple's Yahoo! seasoning. Not sure how or if that changed the recipe significantly but the the chicken was incredible. It was fast and easy, and my husband and kids enjoyed it. All was right with the world. :-) Enjoy!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2012
Used ingredients as listed. Browned well. Cooked for 30, then 20. I think any more would overcook the pork. I'll definitely make again but will use some of the ideas from other reviewers.

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
They should really have a 4 1/2 rating. Great recipe. Most of the time for this recipe is making the sauce and the amount of time to marinade. Make sure to use enough flour or the chicken won't coat properly and will fall off. (Happened to me.) Everyone loved this. Made with rice and broccoli. No leftovers. Thanks for sharing.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
Only thing I added was mushrooms. I did decide at the last minute to use a jar of premade gravy due to unexpected last minute time constraints. Still very yummy. I'll probably try the gravy from the recipe next time but even if I don't, this one's a keeper.
