Butter Cakes and Pound Cakes Article - Allrecipes.com

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
Very informative article. Thank you. An extra point: Sometimes cakes baked in large pound cake or Bundt-style pans may do better when placed in a cold (not pre-heated) oven. This keeps the outside of cake from rising and browning too soon, making it susceptible to burning while it continues to bake fully through.

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
I couldn't have been more please with a pie crust. It was good for my cream pies, and the peach cobbler I made for friends. You may need to use more water. Flour/water mixture should be Smooth. Simply Wonderful!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
These cinnamon rolls were so good. I don't have a bread machine, so I substituted an 8 gram pack of dry active yeast for the bread machine yeast. Then kneaded the dough by hand. The first time I made them, the dough tasted wonderful, but the rolls were too dense. So, the second time I made them I decided to let the dough rise twice--once in the bowl, and after punching it down, rolling out and assembling the rolls, I let it/them rise again. Because I like lots of filling, I increased the butter and sugar that I spread on the sheet of rolled out dough. If you do this, be careful not to put in too much, so that filling doesn't end up sticking to the bottom of the pan. These were some of the best cinnamon rolls that I have ever eaten. For Real!

Ragu® No Boiling Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
I made a 'semblance' of this recipe. I used cheap spaghetti sauce and added 1 lb. ground beef and 1 lb. Italian sausage. It was very good. Next time I may add garlic and Italian seasonings. But, I have to say it turned out well without the addition of anything but the meat. It was wonderful to be able to make lasagna without boiling the noodles first. Good recipe.

Microwave Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I didn't have enough apples, so dropped in a few frozen raspberries. Was very good. I missed the richer caramelization that oven cooking would have made. Otherwise, it was great.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Wonderful salad; used craisins and apple cider vinegar; a little more brocoli and a little less bacon. This salad is really user-friendly. Is very forgiving of adjustments. Best salad ever.
