I've been cooking since I was a little girl. I was always hungry and like most people I would get grouchy, so my parents encouraged and tought me to cook for myself. This past year finally decided to chase this passion for food and go to Culinary School. It was a great experience but I realized a Chef is not what I want to be.
My favorite things to cook
My Father's Chinese and my Mother is caucasian, with roots in Germany, Romania and Great Britain. So, I like to make everything from stirfries to cabbage rolls to lasagna. The cooking school has sparked my interest in baking and desserts. I've also dabbled into Japanese cuisine, (getting quite good at sushi) I'd like to get into indian and thai cooking next:)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother makes a really tasty tomato meat sauce from Hunts products and she uses it for all her italian dishes. I've grown up on it and my sisters and I still make it away from home. My father is the Stirfry Master, I've been is observant apprentice, but a bowl of his chicken wing or sparerib stirfry after a long time from home, is like nothing else.
