I have a motto: If you're going to take the time to cook it, it should taste wonderful~ :)
My favorite things to cook
Anything that makes the kids and adults all happy at the same time! Which I'm admitting is almost impossible these days.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is from Pennsylvania, so there are some odd Amish dishes there.I bet you never had pickled eggs and beets. I love them! My ex husband called them " purple eggs ". They don't last long around here.
My cooking triumphs
Lasagna, Spaghetti, Pepper Steak, Meatball stroganoff, Hawaiian Pork Chops, Pot roast w/vegetables, Western omelet for a crowd ( Okay maybe more of a pan skillet of eggs and veggies- if it's gone , I know it was good, if they ask how to make it themselves, it's great.:) We like happy tummies~
My cooking tragedies
I think maybe mashed potatoes once, too lumpy or something. I consider cooking to be a constant learning experience~
