Baked Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
This was so easy and so tasty. My husband couldn't get over how flavorful these wings were. And my picky 9-year-old daughter finally ate dinner with us, which is so rare. She loved these wings!

Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
This was a nice quick and easy meal. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because I thought the saltiness was overwelming from the soy sauce. Next time I'll try the reduced sodium soy sauce. Otherwise, great recipe and I'll probably make it again.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
This was a very easy side dish to make and very quick. I had something else in the oven at 375, so I just baked the asparagus at 375 instead of the 400 degrees. It only took about 10 minutes (they were kind of thin asparagus). I also used frozen asparagus from Costco rather than fresh and it turned out great. I let them thaw on the counter before I baked them. The only change I made was I sprinkled parmasean cheese on the asparagus after I added the sauce to them. Great!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
WOW, no more Jiffy mix for me! This is definitely the best cornbread recipe I've ever made (and so simple)! My husband loved it too. It reminds me of the cornbread the Tippin's Restaurant serves. It's wonderful. I followed the directions exactly and wouldn't change a thing. It took exactly 35 minutes at 375 in the oven in a 8x8 glass baking dish to come out perfectly! Thanks for this recipe, it's a keeper for sure!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
Wonderful sauce and very easy to make! I made this for the Seafood Lasagna II recipe also on this site. It was delicious, but VERY fattening, I'm afraid! I do definitely recommend making this alfredo sauce rather than buying one already made in the jar at the grocery store. The store bought sauces have a very fake taste to me. This is more like a great Italian restaurant alfredo sauce!

Seafood Lasagna II

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
Absolutely to die for!! I made this recipe for company this weekend. I prepared it on Saturday and stuck it in the refrigerater and then baked it the next day at 350 for 50 minutes covered with foil and then another 20-25 minutes uncovered. It was wonderful! That way I was able to enjoy my company and not feel exhausted from preparing this time consuming meal the same day. I used the Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce recipe from this site and it was delicious. I had to alter that recipe to 6 servings rather than 4 to make enough alfredo sauce to get the 32 ounces called for in this recipe. I also used real king crab legs rather than imitation and it was well worth the cost and time to crack them all open. And then I used a pound of medium shrimp and a pound of squat lobster chunks. Next time I'll probably just do the crab and shrimp and forget the lobster. I just happend to have that in the freezer and used it up. I would give this recipe 10 stars if I could!

Crab Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2006
This recipe turned out okay. I actually thought it was a bit bland (but definitely edible). I even quadrupled the hot sauce amount and I still felt that way. My husband said he liked it, but I have to say I was a tad bit disappointed after all the rave reviews. I served it for dinner and think it might be better as a breakfast/brunch dish instead. I did use real crab meat in the can (Chicken of the Sea brand) instead of the imitation crab meat. I didn't care for the texture of the crab. It was practically pulverized. I'm thinking next time I'll try the imitation crab flakes like the recipe calls for. I'll give it one more try!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2006
WOW, wonderful recipe! I made this carrot cake today for my husband's birthday. Carrot cake is his favorite cake in the world, and this was my first attempt ever making one. It turned out absolutely perfect, and he agreed. I baked it in silicone flute tube bakeware and had to bake it at 350 for 55 minutes. It was perfect. As others suggested, I used 1/2 cup applesauce and 3/4 cup veg oil. For the frosting, I used only 3 cups of powdered sugar instead of 4 and I added about 4 ounces of cream cheese. This recipe is a definite keeper!!!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2006
These went over great with the family!! It's dangerous to have a dozen of these in the house with only a family of three, so I had to share with the neighbors. They were ever so grateful to take a few! This was my first attempt ever making cinnamon rolls from scratch. It was very easy, just time consuming. Definitely worth the time to make! This is a keeper!

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
This was an absolutely delicious dinner. My husband was so impressed. He felt it was a truly gourmet meal! I didn't have any balsalmic vinegar, so I substituted red wine vinegar instead. It turned out just fine. Otherwise I followed the directions exactly. I will definitely make this again! Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Chili I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
I have to say I was very disappointed with this recipe after I read all of the rave reviews. It was just so-so. I won't ever make this one again! I guess I was expecting something great because of the other reviews, but it definitely wasn't, in my opinion.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2004
Overall this was a good recipe. I should have taken the advice of others to reduce the liquid. I'm going to try it again with only 1 cup rather than 1 1/2 cups of milk. I had to increase baking time to a little over an hour because of following the recipe, and it was still somewhat soupy.
