Cake Balls

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
I used devil's food cake with whipped vanilla frosting. After I mixed it all together I was able to make the balls. I didn't have any problems maybe because I didn't add the whole container of frosting..just enough to bind it all together..probably about 3/4 of the container. I put one tray in the freezer while I was making more balls and started to melt the chocolate in my double boiler. I used 1 pk of milk chocolate chips, 1 pk of semi-sweet chips. I didn't think I would have enough chocolate so I added dark chocolate mint chips that I had on hand. I would put the whole ball in the chocolate and fish it out with a fork where I would tap it on the side of the pot to get the excessive chocolate off. Then I would use a toothpick to remove the ball from the fork and onto wax paper. It worked perfectly for me. I brought them to a bake sale at work and everyone loved them and was asking for the recipe.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
I thought this was good but my husband loved it. I didn't have a candy thermometer so I had to go by the color description in the recipe. I think if I did have the thermometer it would have come out better. I did half the recipe though cause I thought 2 cups of butter was a lot and I'm glad I did because even making half the recipe there was plenty.

Grilled Gorgonzola-Basil Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
My new favorite burgers. I added worchestershire sauce. I also saved 1/4 of the gorgonzola to put on top of the burger once it was finished cooking. I cooked the burgers on our inside grill. Delish!!

Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
OMG!!! This was so delicious!! I cooked it in my crockpot while I was at work. I used a whole package of Taco Seasoning and I just sprinkled chili powder, garlic and the 2 cans green chilies. I cooked it on high for about an hour or so then turned it to low. My husband was home to do that part for me. :) The meat fell apart nicely and we ate them on corn taco shells heated in a pan with lettuce and cheese. It had great a spicy flavor!!

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
Yummy! I usually use gorgonzola crumbs instead of blue cheese because we like the taste better. I either use fat-free milk or fat free half and half like others have recommended. Very easy and very delicious!

Cheesy Baked Cauliflower

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I absolutely love this recipe! I love cauliflower but my husband isn't a fan, but he likes this dish. We sometimes add blue cheese and gorgonzola crumbs to add a little more cheese flavor.

Green Bean Artichoke Casserole

I thought this was a nice addition to our Thanksgiving dinner. I agree, it does kind of taste like stuffed artichokes. I will definitely make it again.

Chicken With Portobello Mushrooms and Artichokes

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
I made this for Valentines Day and my boyfriend loved it. I don't like mushrooms so I didn't use those and I didn't add Brandy cause I didn't have any. I added a couple more artichokes and will probably just use the whole can next time cause I loved them plus I didn't know what to do with the rest of them except to throw it away. I will definitely make this again!!

Cucumber Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
This is a great recipe. My boyfriend and I love it. I didn't use alfalfa sprouts or pepperoncini. It's a nice picnic sandwich!! Make sure you eat it right way otherwise the bread gets soggy from the cucumbers and vinegar. :)

Honey Glazed Ham

This was my first time making a ham and I made it for a Christmas dinner last year and it came out awesome. I did take the other reviewers advise and used brown sugar instead of corn syrup. Everyone at the party loved it!!

Acapulco Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
This is delicious. My boyfriend loves it and I make it usually once a week. I'm on a low carb diet so I don't make any rice. I also add sour cream and a can of diced tomatoes and since we like spicy food I use 4 Jalapenos. I add red bell pepper so that it gives me more veggies and one time I used yellow cause the store didn't have red and it was just as yummy.
