The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Try adding 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract along with the vanilla...it tastes great! We also rolled these out quite thick (about 1/2 inch) and iced with Sugar Cookie Icing from this site. To die for!

Almond Mandarin Salad

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
Dressing was a little oily as written, so I ended up increasing everything else until it tasted right. A few drops of sesame oil really added a lot to the dressing. Pineapple is a good substitute for mandarin oranges.

Pasta with Tomatoes and White Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
Quite tasty; we modified by using 1 can diced tomatoes and 1 can tomato sauce, a package of frozen spinach sauteed in olive oil with onion and garlic, and romano cheese. The addition of garlic powder and italian seasonings gave it great flavor.

This was quite good; we used evaporated milk instead of heavy cream and didn't even miss the cream. Thumbs up from our baby, too!

Jeff's Chili Con Queso

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
We were definitely underwhelmed. The cheese was gritty and rather tasteless even though we used mexican velveeta and added onion, garlic and cumin for flavor. We won't be making this again...thanks anyway.

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
Very tasty. I followed other reviewers' advice ad subbed chicken broth for water, 15oz tomato sauce and 15oz diced tomatoes for the large can of tomato sauce, added 1/2 pkg frozen spinach and only used 1/2 lb ditalini pasta. I would add it to the bowls next time as the noodles absorbed a lot of liquid.
