The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2014
Go no further in your search for a great rolled cookie recipe!!! I used this recipe this past Easter. I baked with my daughter lots and lots of Easter cookies. They were delicious and easy make. I refridgerated the dough overnight and thawed it on the counter about 20 minutes. It was pliable, thick enough to roll and work with and the recipe made so many tasty cookies. We glazed the cookies and sprinkled with colored sugars. I will use this recipe from now on. Looking forward to the next holiday to bake them! Fantastic recipe, pass it on!!!

These are really tasty! We also decreased the baking soda to 1-1/2. Tps. & added 1 tbsp. of milk based on previous reviews. Baked exactly 15 minutes & these muffins came out great. Made these with my 6 yr. old daughter. Easy & yummy muffin recipe, thanks!

Crab Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
I have made this dish a few times before but didn't have quite a pound of fresh crabmeat so I decided to follow another idea a review had and add 1/4 -1/2 lb of shrimp, cut in half, 1tbsp. old bay seasoning, 1/2 minced onion and another egg. Came out great, my family loved it and it was so fast and easy to make. I will definately make it adding the shrimp from now on.

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
THESE WERE FANTASTIC & SO VERY EASY! Needed a mexican type dessert for a 4th grade Mexican themed event at school for my son. He and I prepped these the night before school. In the morning we baked them for about 30-35 minutes (our preference) to have them warm upon arrival at school. This dessert was a hit with the children and teachers. WE WILL CERTAINLY BE MAKING THEM AGAIN!!! Note- I pretty much followed the recipe but also as other reviewers have advised also tweaked it by using 2 cans of apple filling instead of one, spreading a little cream cheese on the flour tortilla before adding the apple filling. Also added a bit of vanilla to the apple filling. Right before baking drizzed both the sauce and a tiny bit of carmel topping! Really delicious and the family wants these on the 4th of July using some real apples and French Vanilla ice cream. I'm all for it because I can prepare this ahead of time and bake! ENJOY!!!!

Carrots Supreme

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
My family loved this recipe. I tweaked it slightly. Made the carrots on the side. In another pan, sauteed a tiny bit of olive oil, butter with a cubed lb of chicken (flavored w/herbs), sweet onion, mushrooms (added another 4oz. can) and added 1 chicken boullion cube & a couple of drops of cooking sherry. Sauteed all of that, continued to follow the recipe and served this yummy, delicious dish over egg noodles. Really easy and the hubby & kids raved. Will make again, great in a pinch!

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
Delicious, fairly soft cookie! The only thing I tweaked was using 1/2 cup shortening & 1/2 butter instead of all shortening for our taste. I also listening to a former review which said to add an additional 1/4 cup of flour to the batch. This is the only step I wouldn't repeat next time I make this cookie. They made the cookie a drop dry and puffy. Other than that one step, the cookies had great flavor, easy to make and the kids enjoyed helping me. Enjoy this yummy cookie!

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
My family often makes this on a Saturday evening. It's quick, tasty and just like the Restaurants (we think even better!) It's made fresh and the kids think it's fun to make and have this dish! Also, I would recommend using fresh chicken as opposed to the canned type, it's much better you just need to saute paprika, chili powder blend or what works for your taste buds in with the chicken cubes! A great & easy recipe and one that everyone will love!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I made these with my son last weekend and they were delicious and quick. They were definately a little different than any other chocolate chip I've ever made because they were larger and more chewy. We followed this recipe exactly but the cookie did need another 5-10 minutes, we just constantly checked the bottoms not to burn. I put them right in a container and they stayed fresh but didn't last long in this house! Enjoy!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
This Alfredo sauce is the best I've ever had. It is tasty and light, not too heavy. I used it over a penne and mushroom dish. The did decrease the milk to 1-1/2 cups and used a little less then 1/4 cup of grated cheese and it was perfect!!!

Royal Icing I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2006
After using up the store brand icing that came with the gingerbread house, I needed to make a quick icing to finish up the house so I chose this recipe but replaced the lemon extract for vanilla and it was fantastic!!! The consistency was perfect, I did add just a little bit more of the conf. sugar but it was great to work with, not runny at all, just thick enough to spread!! Thanks for the save!!!

California Primavera

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
My son enjoys making this dish with me, it has a great taste and is quick & easy to make. The best thing is you can add any type of vegetable to it and you feel good making it because it's pretty healthy, especially if you use fresh vegetables to it although frozen work well in a pinch.

Chocolate Crinkles III

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2005
This is the crinkle recipe to use!!!!My Mom has been making them over over 40 years and I have also been making them for at least 15 years. It's a foolproof recipe which makes lots of cookies. One sure tip would be: being that the dough is sticky, flour your hands often and then roll the chocolate balls, it goes a lot faster that way. Enjoy!!! Everyone will love these delicious cookies.

Cherry Crumble

Very tasty recipe and easy to make, I made it with my son and it took just a few minutes. We added chopped hazlenuts to the dry mix and it added a nice taste. Try it with whipped cream or ice cream. I would like to try this recipe again sampling a different fruit but it's a keeper!

Peking Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2004
My family & I enjoyed this recipe & it was quick, easy and tasty. Like another post, we also marinated the chops and then baked them in the oven & served them with pineapple bits. I would suggest using low salt soy sauce though.
