About this Cook
I am a Mom of two sweet children and married to my hubby for almost 19 years. I enjoy learning new recipes, still a little timid but I'm always willing to try out a new recipe if I think my family will like it. My children and I really love to bake together, especially holiday items. The kids always look forward to that and so do I. I am more of a baker whose more at ease in front of the Kitchen Aid mixing!!!
My favorite things to cook
Baking my Aunt's famous banana bread & my Mom's christmas cookies. I love to make my Mom's fantastic Chicken Cacciatore for my husband. My family absolutely loves my beef stew & homeade chicken & squash soup on a cold night. Pasta & Peas on a Friday night (Gram's recipe). Our specialty is Gravy & Meatballs on a Sunday afternoon. My husband & I make that together, it's just a nice fun tradition for us to share. Also, I try and let my children help me with a dinner recipe once in a while especially if it's not too difficult and just has lots of adding items, they make a mini-cooking show movie together, they love these times!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Any and all of my Mom & both of my Grandmothers' recipes. Holiday baking with my children.
My cooking triumphs
Seafood is a big one. I am Italian so we have many delicious family recipes that I would like to conquer & try out & make really well for my family.
My cooking tragedies
My 1st year of marriage I had my in-laws over for dinner and made a chicken dish adding boullion cubes but forgot the water to add them with!!!!!! I was mortified but my Father-in-law loved it & had seconds anyway!!! What a sport and we all had a laugh!!!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
Go no further in your search for a great rolled cookie recipe!!! I used this recipe this past Easter. I baked with my daughter lots and lots of Easter cookies. They were delicious and easy make. I refridgerated the dough overnight and thawed it on the counter about 20 minutes. It was pliable, thick enough to roll and work with and the recipe made so many tasty cookies. We glazed the cookies and sprinkled with colored sugars. I will use this recipe from now on. Looking forward to the next holiday to bake them! Fantastic recipe, pass it on!!!

Crab Brunch Casserole
I have made this dish a few times before but didn't have quite a pound of fresh crabmeat so I decided to follow another idea a review had and add 1/4 -1/2 lb of shrimp, cut in half, 1tbsp. old bay seasoning, 1/2 minced onion and another egg. Came out great, my family loved it and it was so fast and easy to make. I will definately make it adding the shrimp from now on.

Chocolate Chip Muffins
These muffins tasted perfect!! I did change the milk & mini morsels from the 3/4 cup to 1 full cup and found these muffins moist and tasty just the way we like them. Easy to make and ready in 20 minutes! The children would like me to like them again!
