About this Cook
Hi I am a busy working mom to 3 teenagers and wife to a wonderful husband. I love to cook and feed my family yummy food! I dont have a lot of time but I love to experiment with new recipes when I do.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook desserts, casseroles and one pot meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up my mom would NEVER be caught dead making anything from a mix! Not even cake. She made every single thing we ate from scratch. She had a passion for food that she passed on to me.
My cooking triumphs
Homemade biscuits!

Monkey Bread I
So so good! Used Pecans instead of walnuts and left out the raisins, all because of personal preference. The caramel sauce is absolutely heaven! Of course I used real butter instead of margarine and added a pinch of kosher salt to the sauce, because I am IN LOVE with the sweet/salty caramel taste. My bread was a bit hard on the top but I think I cooked my caramel sauce just a little too long and it was really thick so it didnt seep down into the bread as much as I would have liked. Otherwise this was the bomb! Burned my fingers and tongue because I could not wait for it to cool any!

Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing
Really good! I just baked my fish but I bet this would be even better if I had grilled it!

Easy Money Breakfast Burritos
These are absolutely delicious! I made a few small changes such as using sausage AND crumbled bacon and added sauteed mushrooms. Used shredded sharp cheddar instead of the velveeta. Loved the green chilis, they add just the right taste. The only other thing I did differently was I did not include the salsa inside the burrito but added it as we were eating them. Next time I might used pepper jack cheese or add just a few jalapenos for a little kick. Also might use a hotter salsa, I just used mild this time for those in my household that dont like very spicy foods. These get 2 thumbs up!!
