Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
I too, made this in my crockpot. What a great recipe, and I had rave reviews from my family. I used three McIntosh Apples, and two Fuji Apples. I did not use all the sugar, did some taste testing and ended up using about 3 TBSPs. I did use 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Excellent and EASY! Thanks!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I made this for my daughter when she had the flu, and she's requested it three times since then! Always always add the vegetable broth, it adds such flavor! After reading the reviews, I also added two cloves of garlic, chopped to the veggies. I keep the noodles separate from the soup, chilled in the fridge. Great soup, thank you!

Asiago Toasted Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Well I thought this recipe tasted fantastic! I made the spread the night before to save some time. I also cut the loaf of bread the night before, and wrapped that well. When it was time for appetizers, I spread the mixture on the bread, broiled, and YUM! All the guests raved!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
This recipe does not disappoint, I'll tell you what. I boiled the chicken and veggies in the water with two chicken boullion cubes. I also threw a boullion cube into the "gravy" mix as I wanted a more chicken tasting gravy. This was really very good, and surprisingly easy to make!

Baked Cheddar Bacon Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
Everyone that came in contact with just the SMELL of this was ready and waiting to dip their crackers in! I really enjoyed this, it's definitely going down in the books as a "keeper". I sauteed the onion in a bit of butter till they were soft before adding it to the mixture. I did sprinkle some garlic powder in there as well. I cooked it in the oven for 20 mins in the dish that removes from my slow cooker. Then put on the slow cooker to keep warm till the potluck. Great recipe, thanks!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2007
I thought this sounded delicious, and I wasn't disappointed. I made this last night and let the chicken and veggies (onions and red peppers) soak for almost 3 hours. The taste was fabulous! My only complaint is that I'd like MORE of the sauce! I think next time, I'd like to try and thicken the marinade. Perhaps use olive oil instead of the vegetable oil. Absolutely wonderful recipe.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
Can I give more than 5 stars? WOW! These were awesome. I made them the day before, put the crock in the fridge till about 3-5 hours before dinner, and WOW. Everyone RAVED about these potatoes. I did use more garlic than called for, as we are a garlic family, and it was just perfect. What a better way to keep mashed potatoes warm?!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
Very very good and very VERY sweet. Everyone kept eating the chips without dipping them in the fruit salsa! :) Delish, truly. Whomever suggested using the egg slicer is a genius, saved me a TON of time. I did not add any sugar, this was sweet enough on its own. Thanks!

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
This is excellent. After reading all the reviews I doubled the marinade, did not use onions as my daughter and boyfriend won't eat them, and STILL it was delicious. Be sure to stir the marinade WELL so all the dry ingredients dissolve properly. This one is a keeper!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
Easy, and GOOD. I cooked for 8 minutes exactly, and let the cookies cool on the sheet. They were soft and perfect! Gotta love the no flour! Thanks!

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
Well I thought these were excellent! Some work but hey, in the end, I just have to pop 'em in the microwave! I cooked the rice as suggested in the chicken broth, and I also added a half packett of taco seasoning. I cooked up some chicken and used the other half of the taco seasoning in that, and mixed it all together. I didn't have any diced tomatoes, so I mixed it all together with 1.5 cups of mild salsa. Absolutely delicious!! :)

Egg and Hash Brown Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
I think I found the solution to anyone that thinks the hash brown bottom is too plain. I found and used the Ore Ida's cubed hash browns with green and red pepper in them. I fried these up beforehand with the green onions. Used Lawry's as well and really this gave the bottom a nice taste. It was a bit salty but nothing overly done. Good recipe, definitely a keeper.

Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
This is simply awesome. I saved and refrigerated the leftover butter and keep finding reasons to use it. I omitted the italian seasoning as I didn't have any, and it was STILL awesome!

Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2006
Wow! My hubby, myself and my 3 year old LOVED this! I used just a 10 oz can of french onion soup and two cans of the cream of mushroom. Only 2 ozs butter and cooked it the 10 mins, stirred, cooked another 15 and it was WONDERFUL! Thanks!

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2006
Really very delicious sauce! We too added more garlic than called for. Also definitely double the sauce - using something other than heavy whipping cream will change the taste. I'd move the steps around and start your chicken before you the sauce, as the sauce was done way before the chicken. Really excellent!

Broiled Chicken with Roasted Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2006
Very yummy. I enjoyed cooking the entire garlic head! It was my first time doing so - I thought it was somewhat tedious getting the garlic out of the head afterward, but hey, the end result was the same! The sauce was a hit in my household, kinda thought it was a bit grainy but overall very good. I liked the broiled chicken! Will definitely do that again.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2006
These were very good, surprisingly filling! I used colby jack cheese as it's our preference but still very yummy. I think next time I'd use a bit less mayo - otherwise really very good!

Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2006
This was very yummy! It smelled wonderful in the oven - had my hubby sniffing around shortly after making it. I used flour tortilla's instead of corn and added some cheese to the beef mixture as we are cheese lovers. I did not have any salsa on hand and instead used some Taco Sauce to pour over the tortilla's and that was really very good. We served with sour cream and even my 3 year old ate some. Thank you! This one is definitely a keeper!

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Well we thought this was fantastic. I made only two small variations, added one cup of tomato sauce as we like a bit more sauce, and did not add the pepper flakes as I wanted to keep it child-friendly. This one is definitely a keeper!! Thanks Brooklyn Girl. :)
