Famous Pork Chops

Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket II

this was amazing... so easy to prepare and came out perfectly. I cooked in a slow cooker... 4 hours on high with lid on, one hour high with lid off. thickened sauce a little bit with a touch of flour.

Seared Sea Scallops

Very good. I didnt use the flour either. It did need a light sauce though... I recommend pairing with a pasta that has a light creamy sauce to use with these scallops.

Shiitake Angel Hair Pasta

Pretty good... the sauce takes a few mins to thicken... i recommend taking it off the heat and letting stand for 2 mins before serving.

Blue Cheese Salad

I did not use the dressing that was included in the recipe... instead used Light Done Right Italian. But the combination of ingredients was unusual and a nice change of pace. We enjoyed it with a steak. Blue cheese and filet are always a great combo!

Crab and Pea Salad

I really enjoyed this. If you like crab meat it is a nice change of pace. I have made it for work lunches and topped a green salad or mixed veggies with it. I used turkey bacon and reduced fat mayo... added some salt and pepper. Very good!

Savory Crab Stuffed Mushrooms

these were good, but not great. I think it was the egg that made gave them a bit of a strange texture... a little puffy and not dense enough. However, we ate them and enjoyed them anyways !

A great variation on this is using a rolo instead of the hershey's kiss. The addition of caramel makes it especially decadent.

Barbecue Beef Cups

the biscuits didnt cook all the way, they remained doughy and raw on the bottom. I think for the future I would half each of the biscuits and use 1/2 per cup. the mixture was very good though.
