Cheesy Ramen Noodles

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
Fundamentally, I can't give a Ramen recipe 5 stars, but this was good. I've looked for a while for an alternative to EasyMac that wasn't so processed, and this is at least a step in the right direction. I used a slice of deli provolone, a bit of shredded cheddar, some parmesan cheese, some ground black pepper, a dot of butter, some milk, and then a bit of their seasoning packet (chicken).

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Absolutely amazing. I did as others suggested and added some extra sugar and then some cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. It makes them perfect to have by themselves for breakfast--quick, easy, and delicious to grab out of a bag. I put them in a ziploc bag and they managed to last 2 weeks on my counter--I cook only for myself, otherwise they'd have been gone.

Italian Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
I've substituted in Asiago for the pepperjack and do it by hand. i let it rise in a bowl until about double and then transfer it to a cookie sheet to rise again, although without too much handling/punching down. everyone always loves it

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
Fantastic. I used a bar of extra dark chocolate, which was awesome. I would recommend making a raspberry puree instead of whole raspberries so that each bite gets a bit of raspberry. I also made my own whipped cream to top it. It's rich, but it was gone FAST!

Oatmeal Pancakes II

EXCELLENT RECIPE. I use about 3/4 to a full banana per batch, so it has a hint of a banana, and the banana adds some sweetness. I also use whole-wheat or 1/2whole wheat 1/2 white flour for the flour part. Very good.

Linguine with Peppers and Sausage

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2004
Very excellent. Just made. I added some fresh basil (which couldn't be tasted), some italian seasonings, about an extra 1/4C wine, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. The last two give it a nice kick. I also used finely chopped turkey sausage links for health. For a family of 3, I had to double it, with just enough left over for lunch. Definately a make again. The family raved that they would be more than happy to get it in a restraunt.
