Chocolate Hazelnut Fruit Crepes

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2006
These crepes were rich and delicious! They brought me back to the time that I lived in Europe where in some places, they put Nutella on everything! Thanks!

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2006
LOVED IT! I used Neufchâtel (1/3 less fat) cream cheese and although this was really good, I felt guilty eating it because of the amount of cream cheese it had in it. You won't be missing anything (besides the quantity) by reducing the amount by half, as others have suggested.

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
This was good. I simmered it a little longer than the recipe stated to ensure that I got a nice, thick sauce - which was very comparable to restaurant quality and served it along with steamed white rice. I agree, it could use more veggies.

I agree, a bit bland, but great for a quick and easy meal. This is a lot like tuna casserole.

Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2006
I thought these were good... not as fabulous as I was expecting, which could have been due to the canned crab meat that I used (if I ever try this again, I'll use fresh). I also used corn tortillas for more authentic enchiladas (which I fried and coated with sauce before rolling).

I thought the amount of thyme was a little overpowering, but other than that, this was good.

I used chicken broth in place of the white wine and it still tasted delicious! I especially loved the cream sauce.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
Sorry, I'm going to have to agree with the minority on this one. I was really looking forward to tasting this, but when it came down to it, I didn't like it... in particular, I didn't like the addition of the oregano... in my opinion, it was overpowered the other flavors. Also, I cut back the water to 8 cups as others suggested and thought it was still too watery so I mixed in some steamed rice to thicken it up.

Really tasty, moist muffins! I don't think the topping adds much so in the future, will skip it.

YUM-YUM-YUM! I had high expectations for this, due to all of the positive reviews, and this recipe exceeded them. Super easy to make and super delicious! The cinnamon-sugar topping is a complimentary touch!

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
I agree, this tastes just like french toast, except it's a cross between that and bread pudding. Next time, I'll cook it for a little longer. I topped it off with some sauted apples and it was delicious. No syrup necessary!

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
I've found the perfect mac n'cheese recipe that's better than the box! The only thing I would do differently next time is reduce the salt by a bit. Otherwise, it was PERFECT. Also, I didn't add any extra cheese to the top. Just the bread crumbs with butter.

This is great for the amount of effort and few ingredients that go into it! I added some celery and seasoned it with salt and pepper as other suggested. Another great sc recipe for the collection!
