About this Cook
I'm just starting a family and therefor I'm just starting to learn how to cook. I've made a few mistakes but luckily my man just says keep trying, you live and learn.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking cakes and cooking. Also I have tried to making bread but its a hit and miss with me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family never really taught me how to cook. There are a few recipes I've learned from my Grandma and also my Nana but other than that, its all new to me.
My cooking tragedies
I always end up cooking foods too long. :( either I don't know if they are done or I'm worried about not cooking them at the time said. I really need to invest in a thermometer.

It's Chili by George!!
This is my first time making chili. I read some of the reviews but decided I'd stick as close as I could to the recipe. I loved it as is! The only thing is I didn't have tomato juice, I had vegetable juice, so I did add a few small tomatoes and only about 28 oz of the juice, I like my chili to be a little thick. I cooked mine in a slow cooker for 8 and a half hours and then I turned it to high for another thirty minutes without the lid for it to thicken up. Loved it! I will be making this again :)
