Caramel Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2006
I never would have thought I could have made a pecan pie. Using caramels is a great short cut. I had a very hard time not eating it all at one time. This is so yummy. My husband even asked me to make this for Thanksgiving this year.

Seasoned Crackers

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
This is soo easy and really tasty. I used 2 12oz boxes and they were all evenly coated. I really liked that they were not greasy like I thought they may have been if i only used 1 box of crackers. i dived this up and gave as part of a gift basket.

Rum or Bourbon Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
I was actually worried because what i thought was a whole box of vanilla wafers was only 1 cup worth of crumbs. I added tea cookie crumbs and added 1 tsp of vanilla to the rum. I also remember people saying that the balls were grainy so I divided the rum and melted the sugar into the rum in the micorwave. This was really very easy although somewhat time consuming. I will definately make these again. Great for gifts.

Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
Wonderful. Easy and tasty. I didn't have red peppers, so I improvised. I mixed green olives minced with black olives, minced, with a little red hots, the kind you get in a hoagie sandwich. The jar says they are called pickled, crushed red peppers. I also pre cooked the bottom crust. This was not soggy at all. It reminded me of a mufalata.

Quick Greek Pasta Salad with Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2007
This is excellent. I made it a little before I was actually serving so teh pasta could soak up the sauce flavor. No shallots, so I used a little mild onion. I also substituted parsley adn basil for a little jared pesto, same brand as the tomato pesto.

Creamy Artichoke Pasta

WOW!! Talk about flavor! Everyone loved this from my toddler to my husband. This was easy to prepare. I didn't have any cottage cheese, so I substituted some jar alfredo. I also skipped the sour cream.

Hobo Dinner

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
My grandma made this a lot when I was young, except she would put individual servings in a microwave safe pie plate (covered with saran wrap) with all the listed ingredients as well as celery. To this day, it still brings back great memories.

Forever Fresh Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
Ok- I cheated A LOT!! I have to give the recipe 5 stars because I had never thought of coconut or corn flakes as an add in to oatmeal cookies. That said, I used oatmeal cookie mis from a bag and added about 1/2 of all the add ins. They were perfect. You can taste a little cinnamon from the mix still so I don't think it over powered anything else. Yummy to me!

Taco Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
I gave this 5 stars because I loved it, however, my family thought it was just ok. I used a mixture of sour cream and cream cheese for the filling between layers instead of straight sour cream. There were quite a few left overs, but I think it may have been because we had had tacos the night before and family could have been just mexicaned out. I will make again on another night and see how it goes over with them.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

YUM. This was wonderful. I used Spicy sausage from my local butcher, frozen spinach and ham cubes. I was out of a few of the ingredients. I can see that the quality of your sausage would be very important in this recipe. This was perfect.

Ginger Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Awesome recipe! My 7 year old ate 4 of them before I had even finished making the batch. I followed other reviews advice and added 1 Tbsp white sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract & 1/2 tsp baking powder. I didn't have any lemon juice on hand, so I got tge idea to use Cream Cheese Frosting II found on this website. This was a fantastic variation. It made it sort of taste like a pumpkin roll which everyone in the family goes crazy for. Thank you for posting and I will be making these again and again.
