great, rib sticking gravy. I doubled the recipe and had NO leftovers! Fantastic over home made or store bought biscuits.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2007
I doubled this recipe and froze the ham, chicken and swiss. The first batch was really runny, but tasted great. For the second batch, I put some uncooked rice underneath the chicken, ham, cheese and soup mixture. The rice soaked up all of the juices and was super yummy. I think it would work well with stuffing mix as well.

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2007
Super easy, and has a wonderful home made taste. I had forgotten to buy the penne, so I substituted farfalle. My kids loved hunting for the bow ties under the cheese.

Italian Sausage Soup

Great taste! Very simple, but tastes so much harder. I served this with crusty italian bread...perfect for sopping up the leftover juices.

Firehouse Machaca Taco Filling

I used my crock pot to cook this. Took the same amount of time, but I was able to walk away from my kitchen. Awesomely tender meat!

Enchilada Casserole III

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Very easy and tastes great. Even my 10 month old wanted a bite, then wanted more! The tomato paste really mellows out the spicey bite you would ordinarily find with packaged enchilada sauce.

Great cold weather meal. It gets even better the second day as the onions really set in!

Shredded Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
Awesome! I cooked the meat in my crock pot rather than on the stove, and replaced the 2 cans of green chile with 2 cans of tomatillo salsa. This is going to be a staple food in this house!

Never again will I buy canned bean soup. This is a great recipe for cold weather days. I served this with a Texas cheese toast.

My house smelled delicious for days. I served this on crusty vienna rolls, with the juices as an au jus.

This is going to become a staple recipe for my family. I used an electric skillet rather than my stove. It can go with just about anything. I served this with rice and steamed broccoli, and my whole family loved it. Easy and yummy!

This recipe is just as tasty with chicken! We've had it both ways, and the sauce tastes so rich, but it is super simple to prepare!

Cheesy Brat Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
This is a good recipe, but my cheese turned it a bit too oily. There were no complaints from anyone in my family, even my picky 9 year old. My husband and I added some jalapeno slices and it gave it zing.

Easy and good! Tastes like a loaded baked potato. My whole family was pleased with this dish. I substituted stuffing mix for the parmesan breadcrumbs, but it was still good.

Aha! Now I have a recipe to use to get my 9yo to eat bell peppers! This really is a great recipe. It has a nice combination of flavors, and is different from anything oriental I have ever tried at home.

Creamy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2005
My husband thought this was a store bought dish! It's quick, easy, and so very tasty. The next time I make this casserole, I am going to sprinkle the top with some crispy bacon, since it tastes so much like a baked potato!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2004
This is the most awesome biscuit recipe I have ever come across. Quick and easy and wonderful. This was my first try and they rose like nothing I have ever seen. Would be great for biscuits and gravy. I'm thinking about adding a bit more sugar and using these for a strawberry or other fresh fruit shortcake. Even my picky eaters loved these!
