I used only one can of water and still thought it was watery. I will try it again and leave out all the water. But it was a pretty good way to use leftovers, and made a nice big amount for a pot-luck.

Green Bean and Mushroom Medley

This calls for an awful lot of salt! I omitted the regular salt, increased seasoned salt to 1 tsp. and used garlic powder instead of garlic salt. It was quite tasty!

Vegetarian Four Cheese Lasagna

Pretty good, though a lot of work. I would cut the pumpkin bigger and the tomatoes smaller (use plum tomatoes perhaps?). Eggplant should be brushed with oil. A good and different recipe to serve to my vegetarian daughter.

Cornish Finnish Michigan Pasties

I made these exactly according to the recipe and they were very tasty, the pastry was nice and flaky. I did not find it dry (did those of you who did leave out any vegetables? They do add moisture). The only change I would make would be to dice instead of slice the potatoes so that they would be more evenly distributed--I ended up with areas that were all potatoes and no meat.

Tangy Sliced Pork Sandwiches

We love roast pork, but had never liked it leftover. Now we look forward to it. I wasn't sure how to cut the meat--the recipe title says "sliced," but the directions say "cubed." I found cubing it, even cut small, made it hard to keep on the bread and it was very sloppy to pick up. I tried shredding it in the food processor, but that absorbed all the liquid and it was dry. The last time, we sliced it thin and ate it open-faced. It stayed on the bread and we didn't have to worry about the sauce spilling all over the place.

Sugar Free Blueberry Coffee Cake

As a diabetic who has long searched for a good sugar-free recipe, I was encouraged by the previous reviews, but I have to say, I don't agree with them at all. If you really can't tell that this is made with sugar substitutes, it's because you haven't had the real thing in so long. My husband, who didn't know it was made with substitutes, took one bite and said, "There's something wrong with this."

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole

I made this just as it is listed based on the rave reviews and got many compliments. I like the strong mushroom flavor given by the soup. I have found that Swiss cheese goes very well with mushrooms so I might try it using that another time. Definitely worth making.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

I have used the major name brand of white chocolate chips in the past and did not like them at all, so I bought a slab of white chocolate at a candy store and used that instead. I'm glad I did--this was wonderful!

Mediterranean Puff Pastry Chicken

This is one of my very favorite recipes from this site. It is wonderful! We find it very filling. The first time I made it I made some side dishes to go with it, but now it is our whole meal. It's been a while since we had it! I think we are due again!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

I have always loved mac and cheese, but I have also always wanted it to be cheesier. I think perhaps it is because the sour cream and cottage cheese give it a tang, but this DOES seem cheesier! It is my new favorite macaroni and cheese recipe and I have abandoned the one I had used for almost 40 years.
