Chococonut Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
These were excellent! Used mini chocolate chips and also added 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Awesome!! And, a note about flat cookies - you don't need more butter. Just be patient and wait for your butter to really soften. If it's too hard or too liquid (when you put it into the microwave to speed up the process) it won't cream nicely with the sugars and become fluffy.

this was a great, flavorful turkey meatloaf that we loved! I skipped the hot sauce and subbed BBQ, but that was the only change. YUM!

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
This soup is wonderful and turned out perfect (mostly as written). I made slight changes for a vegetarian base, and served bacon crumbles at the table for those who were interested. Sautéd onion and garlic in olive oil, and used vegetable broth. Also added a shake or two of cayenne and skipped the hot sauce since we were out. Loved it... perfect for the odd pregnancy craving of soup when it's 105 degrees outside!

These are amazing... so worth it! I used devil's food cake mix and thought the combo was perfect, but I can't wait to try all sorts of combos. Only baked about 16 minutes. Thanks!

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
This was a nice base recipe, but like some others reviewers we found these to be a bit bland as written. Added chives, scallion, garlic, and some lemon pepper to the mix and they were amazing. Next time I may try some pine nuts or capers too.

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
WAY too much butter, but turned out great the second time when I lightly brushed melted butter over the top before baking. Can easily be halved and baked in an 8"x8" pan.

Thai Chicken with Basil Stir Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
We thought this was great, although I did make a few minor changes to the sauce - light coconut milk, 1T fish sauce, 1t crushed red pepper. I also added some bell peppers with the onions, and cilantro and edamame with the basil and mushrooms, skipping the green onion. Served over brown short grain rice since that's what was in the pantry.

Berry Burst Sorbet

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
This was a great base, but 1C sugar (or splenda) would be too much. Per other reviews, I only used about 1/2C and thought it was perfect. Just taste as you go!
