Easy, Crunchy Hot Dogs

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
My 2 kids hated these - picked all the coating off of the hot dogs. My husband and I thought they were OK, but I won't be making them again.

Oven French Fries

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2007
A lot of extra work for nothing special. I didn't notice any difference after them soaking in the water/soy sauce/cornstarch mixture compared to other baked french frie recipes.

Potato Crust Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
We too made it just like a pizza - used pizza sauce instead of sliced tomatoes. My kids LOVED it! A great alternative for those of us on a gluten free diet!

Mock Champagne

Not what I was expecting after all the great reviews, none of the adults had seconds, a few of the kids did though. Next time I'll try the other recipe on this site that calls for pineapple juice.

Chicken Chilaquiles

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
I did not like the flavor of this meal. I'm not a huge fan of tomato sauce with chicken. It also did not make very much - this was one serving each, for myself and 2 elementary aged kids. I think it would've tasted much better with more mexican flavors in it...taco seasoning on the chicken and salsa instead of tomato sauce.

Wild Rice Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2006
I was not impressed with the flavor. Even after added carrots, parsley, sage, and LOTS of salt, it was nothing special.

Italian Ranch Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
Very bland. I mixed up some honey/mustard sauce to dip them in to give them some more flavor. I had to substitute gluten free breading for the cornflakes, so that could explain the "blah" flavor.

Gluten-Free Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
Not impressed with this cake at all. Very bland flavor...needed super good frosting to carry it off. I've been baking GF for 8+ years and this is not a great recipe compared to others that are out there.

Chicken Pesto a la Lisa

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
I loved this recipe. It tasted just as great as the similar recipes that call for cream...minus all the fat and calories!

Delicious Gluten-Free Pancakes

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
There was no flavor to them, we had to add extra flour because the batter was too runny, and they did not raise up well.

S'more Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
These rock! I never re-make desserts/cookies...I'm always up for trying something new...but I tell you, these will definately be made again at our house. So easy, my 6 & 8 year old could almost make them alone!

Baked Kielbasa and Potatoes in Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
It was OK, I won't be making it again. I even used fresh basil from the garden and minced some fresh garlic instead of the dried spices. Everyone like the kielbasa in it, but not the potatoes.

Steak Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2005
We weren't too impressed, everyone ate the meal, but it actually reminded my husband and I of the chow mein that the school cafeteria served when we were kids.

Chocolate Popcorn

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
I made it slightly more healthy by using one cup of honey in place of the sugar and corn syrup. I still prefer caramel corn, but I think it would be great to mix the two kinds together!

It was good, I still like some of the other recipes for pesto sauces better. Make it healthier by using homemade Spinach pesto!!

Ultimate Spicy Spud Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
The only thing that made the soup special was the sausage - I'd rather save that meat for an Italian dish than waste it in potato soup again. Everyone ate it, but we will not make it again.

Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2004
I much prefer a regular peanut butter chocolate chip cookie recipie that I substitute my gluten-free flour in. This was too sugary, flat, and crumbly for me...but my children who are on a GF diet also, thought they were OK.
