Ultimate Spicy Spud Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
The only thing that made the soup special was the sausage - I'd rather save that meat for an Italian dish than waste it in potato soup again. Everyone ate it, but we will not make it again.

Mock Champagne

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
Not what I was expecting after all the great reviews, none of the adults had seconds, a few of the kids did though. Next time I'll try the other recipe on this site that calls for pineapple juice.

Rollups

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2006
We did not care for the cream cheese. I had regular (full fat) cream cheese and I added minced garlic to it. It was way too rich - maybe a reduced fat one would've tasted better. With all the thousands of Chicken recipes out there, I wish I would not have wasted my time on this one.

Wild Rice Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2006
I was not impressed with the flavor. Even after added carrots, parsley, sage, and LOTS of salt, it was nothing special.

Grandma B's Bean Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2006
Extremely bland, even after adding salt, pepper, thyme, bay leaves and season salt AND cooking it for close to 18 hours, I was extremely disappointed.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2006
It was VERY easy to make, but we weren't too impressed with the flavor, and we defineately didn't like using the sauce over noodles or rice.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2005
Mine took forever to cook. I had them at 325 degrees for one hour, then cranked the oven to 425 degrees for another 20 minutes, then finally had to finish them in the microwave for 10 minutes so we could eat!

Baked Basil Fries

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
Not enough coating, fries remained soggy even after 45 minutes of baking and a few minutes under the broiler. Didn't think the taste was anything special either.

Baked Kielbasa and Potatoes in Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
It was OK, I won't be making it again. I even used fresh basil from the garden and minced some fresh garlic instead of the dried spices. Everyone like the kielbasa in it, but not the potatoes.

Potato-Pesto Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2005
As much as our family LOVES both pesto and potatoes, I was disappointed. I used my own awesome pesto recipe and even that didn't help much...it was missing something...

Steak Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2005
We weren't too impressed, everyone ate the meal, but it actually reminded my husband and I of the chow mein that the school cafeteria served when we were kids.

This was really good - tasted just like boughten fish sticks to my kids. A great alternative for those of us who are on a gluten-free diet due to Celiac disease.!

I was not impressed, the fries stayed soggy on the bottom and burned on the top.

Ginny's Cheezy Macaroni

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2005
This recipe had WAY TOO much pepper in it, next time I will cut it in half. The top of it got crunchy - not a great consistency for mac & Cheese. Due to it's simplicity (not having to boil the noodles)I will try it again. I even used Gluten-Free noodles, and they cooked nicely on the bottom.

Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2004
I much prefer a regular peanut butter chocolate chip cookie recipie that I substitute my gluten-free flour in. This was too sugary, flat, and crumbly for me...but my children who are on a GF diet also, thought they were OK.

Hearty Banana Oat Flapjacks

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2004
A good flavor enhancer for those of us who have to use gluten-free flour! I only used one banana, and mixed it with an electric mixer, to make it soft, so that my kids wouldn't see the chunks of bananas (I wanted them to at least try it). I just added the sugar into the recipie. We all liked the flavor, I liked the fact that they are healthier than regular pankcakes and they keep you fuller for a longer time.
