Zucchini Walnut Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2004
There were alot of zuccini breads to select from on the allrecipes site and they were all very similar. I decided on this recipe because only 4 people had made it, but they all gave it 5 stars. Now it is 5 for 5. Moist and very flavorful just as described.

Awesome Ham Pasta Salad

Very strange combination. However you won't believe how tasty it is unless you make it. Go on ...try it...you'll be happy you did.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
Everyone is right, this is a winner! I made two batches today using 6 lbs. of ground chuck in each batch. I stock the freezer for future use. To cut the fat, I cook just the meat and then pour very hot water over it and drain. Next, I added the raw onion & peppers and the remaining ingredients and simmer for a couple of hours. There is so much flavor going on that you'll never miss the fat.

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
Outstanding! You will definately need 3 packages of graham crackers to do the three layers as described. I use a box of French vanilla and a box of cheesecake pudding. For the frosting, I used a recipe from this site that is no longer available. It was a chocolate sauce from Bays Chick. The recipe is as follows: 1/3 c. cocoa (I used Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa), 1 c. sugar, 1 stick butter, 1/4 c. milk. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Cool completely. It thickens nicely and tastes absolutely fabulous! This frosting makes this dessert out of this world!!

Chocolate Praline Layer Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
The absolute BEST cake ever! Fun fact...this cake has a total of 7,128 calories of which 4,320 are fat calories. A serving size is 1/24 of the cake and is 297 calories. I would like to know who can cut a serving piece that tiny. A normal serving piece would be 1/12. The moral here is that life is too short so why not enjoy a big slice!

Pecan Turtle Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
I followed the others suggestions and used 2 c, flour and used 2 c. chocolate chips and slso lined the pan with foil. After cooling, I cut the bars into 1"x1" pieces. Making them bite size, they were neat & easy to eat. You could have several and not feel so guilty.

World's Best Lasagna

Very, very good. Followed the recipe exactly as written. The sauce is also great on spaghetti. I always freeze the leftovers in single servings for the next time I get a craving. Freezes well.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
This is really, really good! After reading other reviews, I decided on the following changes. I replaced 1/2 of the oil with a 1/2 c. of mashed banana. I used 1 c. white and 1 c. brown sugar and 3 c. zucchini. This is by far the tastiest bread I have ever had. Try it and you'll agree!

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
Very, very good! I followed the recipe as written. Used 3 Fuji apples thinly sliced. The only thing I would change is to chop the apples instead of slice so that it is easier to cut the cake. The apple slices tend to move when you are slicing.

Tasty Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
This is a keeper!!! My only change was to triple the recipe and added the cheese to the sauce and then mixed in the beans. This still easily fit a 9 x 13 pan. I predict that this recipe will be a big hit in the future. The sauce would work well with all kinds of veggies or potatoes.

Never Fail Applesauce Spice Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
Very moist and tasty. Instead of using a 9 x 13 pan, I filled 6 individual bundt pans plus 6 cupcakes and baked for about 20 minutes (till toothpick came out clean). I served this on Thanksgiving. See the photo of how the little cakes were decorated.
