Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
Used whole wheat flour and unsweetened applesauce instead of oil and it turned out great. The original recipe is probably even better, but at least this is a little healthier version.

Wow! These turned out so good I can't believe I actually made them myself... Looking forward to making this to show off to friends. Very, very good recipe.

Cathy's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2006
I used 4 mini loaf pans and they were done in 40 min at 350. I also added about 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Came out perfect- moist and flavorful. I think I might like banana bread without sour cream a little better, though, which is why it's 4 stars and not 5.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2006
Really great cookies. With all the ingredients I thought they would be "sickeningly" sweet, but nope! Family and friends loved them! Will definitely make them again!

Cantonese Dinner

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
I doubled the sauce, added frozen bell peppers and canned chunk pineapple (like others suggested) and served over rice and it tasted just like sweet and sour pork. Next time I will add brocolli and carrots too. We loved it.

Breaded Center Cut Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
I really wanted to like this recipe. Maybe I did something wrong, but my chops were tough. I broiled them a few minutes at the end to crisp the top that was still soggy. Maybe that's what overcooked them. The flavor of the breading was good though.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
This was my first time making zucchini bread and it turned out great. My 2 year old loved it and I feel good that he's getting a serving of veggies and fruit. (Note: I used FROZEN blueberries and cooked it for a total of 60 minutes) Moist and sweet with a crunchy top. Will definitely make this one again.

Marzetti® Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2005
I was looking for a chicken salad recipe w/ apples and grapes but I think I prefer a miracle whip based salad. I'll save the slaw dressing for cole slaw.

Hearty Banana Oat Flapjacks

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2005
Wonderful, healthier alternative to our usual weekend pancakes. I made them as directed and my 2 yr old LOVES them! He even ate them without syrup! 5 stars because this will become one of our family's "usuals".

Brown Sugar Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2005
I liked them, my husband liked them even more. My chops were only 1/2 inch thick so I baked them covered for 30 minutes and uncovered for 10. I also marinated them for 3 hours first in melted butter, brown sugar and extra soy sauce. I flipped them and then sprinkled additional brown sugar during the 10 minutes uncovered time. Pretty simple. Will make again.

Blueberry Muffins I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2005
The other reviews are right- they are a little bland. But they're still great with a cup of coffee in the morning. And my 1 1/2 year old loves them.

Cheesy Catfish

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2005
Really good! I took others suggestions and after baking, broiled it for a few minutes to crisp the top. My husband, who doesn't really like fish, LOVED it! I imagine the breading would work for other types of fish too.

Whole Wheat Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
Healthy and tastes great. I think I prefer them to regular pancakes. (I didn't have buttermilk, so I used regular milk + 1 tablespoon vinegar for each cup). They even taste good without syrup because of that little bit of brown sugar in the mix.

Rosemary Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
My husband and I loved it! I had to make some changes, though, so I could work with what I had in the kitchen... I used 1 pound of ground turkey (not 1 1/2), apple cider vinegar, dried rosemary, spaghetti sauce instead of tomato sauce and half of the bread crumbs were italian flavored. I also just plain forgot the garlic. I don't know how close mine came to what the actual recipe should taste like, but my version turned out awesome!

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
I chose this recipe because it specifically said it was okay to use frozen strawberries. They turned out okay. Next time I'll use fresh berries and see if they're much better.

Pecan Pie Muffins

Sooooo good! Tastes just like pecan pie as the name suggests. And with the mini-muffin tin, they look similar to and are just as good as pecan tarts but easier to make! Loved this recipe!
