About this Cook
Just a young woman lookin to expand her culinary dictionary. Having a very sensitive stomach, cooking fresh food is my only way of getting the essential nutrients I need everyday. Here on allrecipes, I am looking for new and yummy recipes to add to my everyday montage of cooking delights!
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cakes, and anything sweet! I'm more of a baker then a cooker, but I am slowly working my way into becoming a cook for my family, friends, and myself.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family only cooks on holidays, but it is something I'm trying to change currently. Eating out everyday is hard on your stomach as well as your wallet, and I hope one day my family would rather cook a fresh meal, rather then go out for one.
My cooking triumphs
I have not really accomplished much seeing how I am still a young cook myself. Most I have ever done/been proud of is making the cheesiest Mac N' Cheese, using Kraft Mac N' Cheese.
My cooking tragedies
My best cooking tragedy was accidentally making "Shlaa". Shlaa is essentially cookies that have little to no flour and baking in an oven that has an uneven rack where all the dough conveniently slides all the way to one side. What you get is one rock hard cookie that covers half the pan and is still mushy in the deepest part. It was made by the creative 14 year old genius of myself and my friend Elizabeth. We decided to call it "Shlaa" because of how it all slide to one side and looked like slop. Was it good? Well I would only make it again for nostalgia's sake.

Super Simple Salmon
It was simple, it was salmon, and it was almost super lol! I think as soon as I can cook salmon well, I will be able to fully appreciate this recipe, along with others like it.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies
I would describe these as scrumptious lil bites of meat. It was a tad frustrating trying to find a good way to get the brown sugar on the wrapped smokies, since you can't sprinkle brown sugar well. After lots of trial and error, dipping the wrapped smokies into a bowl of brown sugar then lightly padding the brown sugar onto them was the best way to get an even coat of sugar around the entire smoky. I also suggest to not over-do-it with the brown sugar, since too much on the pan may spill over in your oven.

BLT Salad
This was super delicious! My mother wants to use the mayonnaise+garlic+milk dressing on every salad she has now. Will definitely make again.
