Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2004
Excellent!! I did things a bit differently. I sauteed the onion & garlic. Meanwhile I put the whole tomatoes, paste, and sugar in the blender and just blended very lightly. I put the sauce to the crockpot and added the onion & garlic, basil and bay leaf. Cooked on low for a few hours and then added the meatballs and continued to cook for another hour or so. Came out great! Thanks!

Mexican Whole Wheat Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2004
These are excellent! I used 1 cup of shortening and they were very easy to roll out. It probably would go faster with 2 people, but if you have a little time, it's worth it.

This was great! I did change a few things. I used oatmeal instead of saltines and put the brown sugar and ketchup on top. Excellent!

Sooooo good!! I doubled this to keep in the fridge. Super quick breakfast! I used applesauce instead of the oil, and 1/2 whole wheat, 1/2 all purpose flour. I also doubled the vanilla. Thanks for the great recipe!

Vegan Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2004
This soup is wonderful!! I actually cooked this in the crockpot. When I got to this step in the recipe - "reduce heat to medium, and simmer for 15 minutes." I put it in the crockpot on low for about 4 hours. The veggies still had a crunch to them. I added some shredded cheddar cheese (cause I'm not vegan :-)) and served it w/ whole wheat bread. Loved it!! Thanks!
