Roast Beef Sandwich Roll

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Very tasty!! Made this for a couple of hungry farmers, and they raved all day about it! Here are the things I did differently--I used 1 loaf refrigerated French bread and I doubled all the veggies and added more deli roast beef (I also recommend using a high quality roast beef), additionally I added a can of mushrooms. In a skillet with some butter, I sautéed all the veggies and then added my roast beef, put the mixture on the rolled-out bread, added some shredded cheese, and rolled up. *Note, if you are not a big roller-upper like I am, make sure you end up rolling onto the baking sheet you are going to bake on, I learned this the hard way!* I brushed the dough with the egg wash, cut slits for the steam and sprinkled some cheese and a little Parmesan and herb seasoning. Delicious! Made a dipping sauce with some real mayo and A-1. Make sure you let this sit 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Aw-some Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Well I'll be darned! This does taste VERY close to ol' KFC's slaw, and I just love the stuff so I was pleasantly surprised and pleased when I did my taste testing (which turned into just plain old eating haha)! I tripled the recipe for a church pot-luck and I made sure to include this wonderful recipe. Thanks for this winner!

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
Excellent! It has 2 things that I just adore in a recipe, it's easy and tastes really good! You just have to use egg noodles, it just changes the taste of other pizza pastas I have had, it makes the dish in my opinion! I have shared this with girlfriends, my sister, and a few teacher friends. Busy moms and dads will appreciate this one! Thanks for the recipe, the options are endless!

Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
This is very tasty, and with a few moderations, it's quick! First, I used a whole head of broccoli, and it was just about 1 3/4 cup, second, I used those real bacon crumbles (no making 4 slices, which I would never do anyhow, and no bacon-making mess!), and add green onions. Well it was G-O-O-D! I did decrease the vinegar a bit for personal taste, and the bacon crumbles were peppered so the flavors were just perfect for us. So the next time you can't find any good lettuce, try this salad for a change of pace!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
The BEST chicken I have ever made, and not trying to toot my horn, but even I can humbly admit that it is darn good!!! Took another reviewer's advice and made a large quantity of the rub up for quicker prep, definitely do this next time you have all those spices out, great time saver! This recipe will be used in our home for years, thanks so much!!

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
These were very good, and the sauce is very nice. I will definitely try these again, but will not use a thick center-cut chop like I did the first time. I think this is one of those recipes that give a good starting-off but needs to be tweaked to your personal tastes, know what I mean?!

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
This is a 5-star recipe because it, A) Tastes so good, and B) It's easy and fast!! Good recipe for busy after-school nights! My only change, didn't use the tomato soup in the "gravy", didn't miss it at all, in fact glad I didn't add it, so thanks to all the reviewers who said to skip it. It really pays off to read the reviews around here!

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2010
I was really just looking for a marinade and stumbled upon this recipe, it's an EXCELLENT marinade!! We are beef cattle farmers, and I am always looking for new ways to spice up our top quality meats and this is definitley a winner! My only difference, I did NOT add the salt as I find that all of the other ingredients have their fair share. Will definitely use this marinade again and again and again...:)

Breaded Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2004
This was very good. I used a large red onion and with the little water, the onion flavor simmered through very nicely! It is important to note that the burgers should not be "in" the water, they will get soggy so make sure you use a hearty onion. My husband (a beef farmer) really enjoyed this one, thanks!
