Finally!! A pot roast that isn't dry, tough or tasteless! I have been searching for a yummy pot roast recipe for some time, and thanks to Sher, I can stop looking. I did change a few small things....I didn't add any celery (I don't like it much), I added two cloves of garlic and rubbed some of it in to the roast, and I used a roast that was about half the size. (2 1/2 lbs.) Due to that, I shortened my cooking time to 1 hr. 15 min. @350, and another hour @225. Perfect! Tender, tasty, and the gravy was nice and thick. I will prepare mashed potatoes along with this roast the next time I make it. Thanks!!
