Contrary to what the instructions say, DO NOT WHISK the flour and eggs together. Just let them sit in the bowl unmixed and then only, gradually add the milk while whisking. I just tried and it worked perfectly!

Mom's Coleslaw

I've tried several coleslaw recipes over the years and they all required tons of ingredients. I should have know that the simpler, the better! I will not go looking for a coleslaw again!

Moroccan Tagine

This is a good recipe but definitely needs more spices. Also, don't serve the tagine on rice but on couscous! (works well with chicken too)

Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken

I wish I didn't shred the chicken before serving it with rice. The result was really dry! Would do great as taco filling, though.

Cabbage Rolls II

This was pretty good! We're usually not huge fans of cabbage but I will definitely make this again. I followed other reviewers' advice and 1) Steamed the cabbage head so I could remove the leaves easily 2) tripled the sauce 3) shredded some of the remaining cabbage in the sauce 4) used the oven instead of crock pot (1.5h covered and 0.5h uncovered). This makes just enough for 3 adults (4 rolls each).

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Just bought a slow cooker and decided on this recipe based on the good reviews. I don't really care for beef but the sauce was really good! My partner and my 2 yo gobbled it down. A keeper in my books!

Asian Orange Chicken

I made this yesterday but, althoough I adjusted the cornstarch amount, we didn't care that much for the sauce. The marinated chicken was very good but all in all, too much work for the so-so result!

Soba with Toasted Sesame Seed Sauce

Could have been a 5 stars with a few changes: 1. Use rice vinegar 2. Double the sauce 3. Start with 2 TBsp sesame seeds and see if you want to add more. 1/2 cup is way too much.

Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf

As per other reviews, I cut the butter down to 1/2 cup and increased yogurt to 1 cup. I also didn't use 1/2 cup poppy seeds as I felt it would be too much. Very good and moist, will make again!
