Steakhouse Black Bread

What a beautiful bread this produces.Dense and flavorful, excellent with chowders. Really complimented our Fillet Mignon. Smeared with honey butter it was great on it's own.

Graham Cracker Fudge

So simple and made everyone want to have a glass of cold milk. Just be sure DO NOT USE PARCHMENT, even though there was no mention of it, I use it in everything, mistake, stuck like glue. The edges will be quite hard at the longer cooking time, FYI, for those who have fillings, no kidding. So delish, everyone loved them. I did the longer cooking time and decided to cut off the harder edges just in case. Very yummy, many asked for the recipe.

Garlic Potatoes Gratin

I would say to those who found it separated and looked chunky to use a different potato than the red. Russets really do work well in gratin dishes. Yes it changes the very base of it, but these are too waxy to absorb the liquid. Very delish otherwise.

Traditional Indiana Breaded Tenderloin Sandwich

I use a gallon sized freezer bag and place any meat to be pounded in it, zip side open and just rotate as you flatten. Saves a lot of mess. Also with chicken, I just label and freeze in the bag after pounding. Saves some time as well. Delish recipe, if you use panko and omit some of the spices, it becomes Japanese style Tonkatsu. Serve with white rice and Tonkatsu sauce (Japanese steak sauce) and salad with ginger dressing.

Orzo and Rice

Very nice, make sure to brown the orzo maybe add 6-8 oz sliced mushrooms and a handful of frozen peas when you come to the "let sit for 15 min" just toss on top once it has come to a boil and you reduce the heat. I liked a bit more kosher salt, maybe the reduced sodium broth is not necessary with such a short cooking time. Brown in butter. Yummy!

Ham Breakfast Braid

It was okay, not too much flavor. Used onion/chive cream cheese as suggested as well as dicing up the ham. I think mixing the cooked eggs with the cream cheese would make it one, easier to scoop onto the ring as well as make it moister.

Southwestern Cauliflower and Ham Soup

Oh so yummy with that little kick from the pepperjack. I used a large head (about 2 pounds) of cauliflower, reserving about 2 cups of small florets. I did not have to use the potato flakes (better for our low carb diet) and is was creamy and delish. Micro or steam the reserved florets and add them to the finished soup. Really a great recipe.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Great right out of the oven with a caramelized crust and moist interior. I know that most quick breads are wrapped and eaten the next day but when I tried a sliver off the end, I knew that it would lose that texture the next day...so we ate it :)

Microwave Lemon Curd

So easy and has a wonderful taste. Sieving is a must for all custards, makes for a much nicer finished product....easy while it's hot. Used Meyers. Will try with Splenda, cutting down on Carbs! But first will fill a shortbread crust and top with whipped cream...

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

This is a great appetizer and so simple to prepare. Partially blanch your asparagus if you are using thicker stems and quickly put into ice water to stop the cooking process.

Wow, I have found my low carb side dish for everything I eat!!! This was so delish. Will try with Splenda, but guessing it may not carmelize like it did with the sugar. Truly a recipe to try. Wow, this was so good!
