Homemade Ice Cream Cones

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
YUM! The first cone I made didn't dry hard, so the next one, I made sure the heat was on medium-low and when the cone was slightly brown, I flipped it and pressed on it with my spatula so it browned evenly. It must get brown in order to dry hard. Flip it and press down on it again until it's nice and brown on both sides. Then, either shape it into a cone or put in in a small bowl so it's like a little cup. This was a fun recipe Thanx!

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2008
This was awesome! This was my first attempt at making marinaded grilled chicken and I was very pleased with the result. I must confess that I didn't measure ingredients, I just kind of ball parked it and I added a bit of minced garlic. Also, I didn't have red wine vinegar so I used balsamic. I will definitely make this again.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
This is so easy and so good. I have made the recipe as written, but to save time and dishes, I prefer to put the meat in the crockpot with the bbq sauce (no broth) and then shred it after a while. I leave it in until it's dinner time. No extra dishes!

This was great. I made my own crust and put a layer of cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar on the crust after I baked it. Delish!

Peach Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This is really good. I needed to make something with my surplus of peaches and this seemed to be the best candidate. I've tried it with frozen and fresh peaches and I much prefer fresh, though frozen was good too. I didn't have pecans so I omit them and I double the streusel. Most recently, I used raspberries instead of peaches and sprinkled a little sugar on them when I put them in the batter. This was very good as well. Thanx for a great recipe!

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
This is one of my favorite recipes on the site. I like to add crushed red pepper flakes and I usually don't have white wine on hand, so I use more chicken broth. Also, I prefer it without the lemon. I've never been disappointed with this dish.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

These were great. I've made these as is, and I've made them with boneless skinless chicken thighs. Both were great but I prefer the boneless. (bones scare me)

Minted Mocha Fusion

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
Yummy. This is great because you can control the level of sweetness. I just wanted to make 2 cups and I didn't have instant coffee so I brewed some and added hot cocoa mix, milk and peppermint and heated on the stove. I will definitely make this again.

Cream of Mushroom Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
What a great recipe, I made this to use in a stroganoff recipe and I was impressed how good it was on its own. What a great alternative to the canned stuff. All I had was an 8oz pack of mushrooms, I didn't puree the veggies, I used whole milk and I didn't have Sherry.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Great recipe. I make it pretty much as is. I omit the green pepper because I rarely have them, I use diced tomatoes instead of sauce and I don't measure, but I'm sure I use more spices than called for and I add garlic. YUM!
