Campbell's® Slow Cooker Savory Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Yummy! This was very good and tender (and easy). I added beef broth, a large onion, some celery and garlic. My family ate this with gusto.

Sweet and Sour Chicken III

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2008
I've made this as is and it was very good. With a few changes it can be awesome. I made a lot more sauce using a few different recipes for reference and I added onion. I will definitely make this again.

Homemade Ice Cream Cones

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
YUM! The first cone I made didn't dry hard, so the next one, I made sure the heat was on medium-low and when the cone was slightly brown, I flipped it and pressed on it with my spatula so it browned evenly. It must get brown in order to dry hard. Flip it and press down on it again until it's nice and brown on both sides. Then, either shape it into a cone or put in in a small bowl so it's like a little cup. This was a fun recipe Thanx!

Strawberry Glazed Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
This was great. I made my own crust and put a layer of cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar on the crust after I baked it. Delish!

Yum. I used chicken broth instead of cream. Tasty and easy.

Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
This was okay as written, it was just a little too bland for us. However, it is a GREAT base recipe. I added a lot of different spices (essence, cajun seasoning, garlic salt, crushed red pepper, to name a few), and that made it delicious. Thank you for the recipe.

This was really tasty. I served it with rice and egg rolls. I'll probably make it again.

Chewy Red Raspberry Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
I made this exactly as written, except I didn't measure the jam, I just spooned it over the mixture until it covered most of it. Maybe it was because of that, but I found these a tad on the sweet side. I think when I make these again I'll use less sugar. Other than that, these were great.

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
MMMM... These are so yummy. I doubled the recipe and did half brown, half white sugar, one cup shortening, 1/2 cup butter. I upped the spices and decreased the baking soda. Baked for exactly 8 minutes and these were nice and chewy. BRAVO!

Chicken Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
This soup is really good. I usually make up a giant batch of broth with a rotisserie chicken and I don't measure the veggies. Recently I used leaks. Thanks for a great recipe.

Sesame Parmesan Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
The sesame oil flavor was delicious. I didn't measure anything and I must admit that I'm a sucker for pan-fried zucchini, so after baking it for about 10 minutes or so, I dumped into a hot frying pan for a few minutes. I don't think this recipe will serve 4.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
These were my first homemade pancakes and they were great. So much better than store bought. I followed the recipe exactly except I added a little vanilla. I will keep this recipe. Only, 8 servings probably means 8 pancakes, not servings enough for 8 people.

Peach Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This is really good. I needed to make something with my surplus of peaches and this seemed to be the best candidate. I've tried it with frozen and fresh peaches and I much prefer fresh, though frozen was good too. I didn't have pecans so I omit them and I double the streusel. Most recently, I used raspberries instead of peaches and sprinkled a little sugar on them when I put them in the batter. This was very good as well. Thanx for a great recipe!

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
The first time I made this (as written) it was way too thick and creamy for my tastes. However, I love this recipe as a base. I agree with some other reviewers that it has too many artificial flavors. The way I like it is with homemade cream of mushroom soup from this site, (though I will use the canned stuff in a pinch) 3 or 4 oz. of cream cheese, maybe 6 or so oz. sour cream (I'm not much for measuring) and I don't usually have brown gravy mix so I use beef soup base and spices. I always use fresh garlic, onions and mushrooms, and more milk to make it the right consistency.

Corn Chowder I

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
This recipe was good as is and great with changes. I added garlic, cayenne, onion powder, garlic salt, chicken broth and regular canned corn. At the last minute I had guests so I had to double it. I didn't have more potatoes so I used flakes instead of mashing half.

Margaret's Honey Mustard

This was tasty and easy. I love it with cayenne, but to please my two year old I sometimes use black pepper instead. Also, I like it with much more mustard and honey.

Cream of Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2008
This is a great starter recipe. However, I do make some changes. First I don't use onion. I add quite a few spices according to taste. Cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, a bay leaf, and a few more depending on my mood. I let it simmer for about 15 or 20 minutes. After that I remove it from the heat and put in about 1/2 tsp or so of baking SODA (to get rid of acidity and to prevent milk from curdling). It gets really bubbly and orange. I stir it around until it settles down(about 2 minutes) Then I put in warmed milk. So much better than canned.

Better Than Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
This is awesome! What a great way to use squash. I've made this twice in the last week. The first time I made as-written and it was excellent, the second time, I increased the recipe by half (to make a thicker pie) and upped the spices significantly and I liked it even better. Thanks for a classic recipe!

I used this recipe for Reuben sandwiches and made homemade Thousand Island dressing and these were better than any restaurant Reuben I've ever had. Excellent and easy!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Great recipe. I make it pretty much as is. I omit the green pepper because I rarely have them, I use diced tomatoes instead of sauce and I don't measure, but I'm sure I use more spices than called for and I add garlic. YUM!
