Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: May 24, 2008
Very smooth and delicious. I made a full batch for my small family and stored the extra in the fridge. When it started getting gritty, I heated it up and used my immersion blender to smooth it out. It was just as creamy as when I first made it.

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
Yummy. I didn't have any celery but I added a bit of water, chicken soup base and a few odd spices and this was really good. Even my sister who doesn't like pea soup liked it.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
My husband and I love this soup. I usually double or triple the recipe. The first time I made it, I followed the recipe exactly and it was very good, now I modify based on what I have on hand. I usually use 1 can of diced tomatoes and if I triple it, I also use a cup of salsa. I up the garlic and spices and add green chilis or jalapenos, depending on who's eating it. Also I boil the chicken and I saute the onions. Sometimes I add a dollop of sour cream when I serve it. Delish

Homemade Ice Cream Cones

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
YUM! The first cone I made didn't dry hard, so the next one, I made sure the heat was on medium-low and when the cone was slightly brown, I flipped it and pressed on it with my spatula so it browned evenly. It must get brown in order to dry hard. Flip it and press down on it again until it's nice and brown on both sides. Then, either shape it into a cone or put in in a small bowl so it's like a little cup. This was a fun recipe Thanx!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
Mmmm. This recipe converted me to a Sloppy Joe lover. The recipe is great as is but sometimes I like to spice it up by adding minced garlic, bbq sauce (and omit brown sugar) and Franks Hot Sauce. To make it sloppier, instead of adding water, I add pickle juice. YUM!
