Spinach and Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2004
This recipe could not be easier. So good. Perfect for a quick cook-out side dish. I left off black olives, but very good either way!

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
This recipe is so amazing. It is a little time consuming with all the chopping (I hate to chop ingredients, so that is just me), but it is so worth it. I make a double batch and freeze it in individual bowls. I just heat it up when I am ready for a hot bowl of good soup.

Bananas Foster II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
I guess this recipe is good. I have never had bananas foster before, so I am not a good judge. It just tasted like bananas over ice cream to me...nothing special, but maybe that is what bananas foster should taste like. On the plus side, it was extremely easy to make.

Roasted Red Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
The chicken was extremely difficult to stuff and I purchased thick breasts. My knife just kept going through the other side of the chicken so I just added the filling on the top and baked it in the oven. Maybe the presentation was not as fancy as the stuffed chicken, but considering the level of difficulty for stuffing, it would not have been worth the time and effort.

Chicken Tequila Fettuccini

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! PLEASE follow the recipe as is. Don't assume the first time that you make it that it would be better with this or without that. Do that the second time if you feel the need. Thanks Behr for an AMAZING recipe. Are you a professional chef? I cannot imagine how you came up with the unusual/amazing combination of ingredients. I will try any recipe that you submit. My boyfriend LOVED it. This recipe made me look dang good.I can't wait to cook this for everyone I know.

Artichoke and Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
This recipe was really good. The second time I made it I punched up the flavor with a white onion instead of a leek and also sauteed in two teaspoons of minced garlic and two teaspoons of hot pepper sauce (ex Tabasco). I also took other reviewer's advice and added one more tablespoon of mayonnaise. Much better. Everyone loved it.

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2005
This recipe is amazing. Tried it with fresh and canned crab meat and tested both at a party (without telling people which was which) and it was unanimous, everyone suprisingly liked the canned (and it is less expensive). The fresh was too fishy and strong. Served it with the wasabi-jalapeno sauce and it was a huge hit.

Wasabi - Jalapeno Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2005
Just the perfect amount of kick without being too hot. Served this with "My Crab Cakes" at a party and everyone loved it. I could put this sauce on just about anything. I am thinking about trying it with the "Zucchini 'Crab' Cakes". Good stuff. Thanks BahaTheCat!

Dark Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2005
Holy cow. This is the best chocolate cake I have ever had. My friend made it and thank goodness he didn't tell me that it had coffee in it, because I hate coffee and you couldn't taste it at all. This cake was as moist as it gets. Everyone flipped out over it. I don't really like sweets and I went for a second huge piece. Excellent with the "Chocolate Cheese Frosting". Thanks Kelly!!

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2005
This frosting is so amazing. I had it with the "Dark Chocolate Cake II". What a perfect combination. I will never buy store bought frosting again and this will be the only frosting I make from here on out. It just doesn't get any better.

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2005
I absolutely love this recipe. I used 1/2 cup Irish Cream liquor and I put a dish of water on the shelf under the cheesecake to keep the oven moist. The cake did not crack and it was so amazing. I served it with the "Raspberry Topping" (also from allrecipes). My guests went back for seconds and thirds. I can't say enough good things about this cheesecake. I will make it again and again. Thanks.

Feta Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
I wasn't too sure what the big deal was with this recipe. It is just breaded chicken stuffed with feta cheese. Not too colorful or interesting. It was pretty dry too. I gave three stars because it was very easy to make. Don't know if I will make again, unless I come up with other interesting toppings.

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
This soup was so gourmet. I absolutely loved it. After I heated the tomatoes and tomato juice for 30 mins I then added about a cup of the mixture to a blender (to maintain the remaining minced tomatoes in the pot for a chunky texture), pureed it with the basil, and then added back to the soup mixture. Don't blend the basil too long because the chunkier the better for the presentation (proves that it is fresh vs. dried basil). I also added 2 tablespoons of minced garlic, about half the amount of butter, and only used a half of a cup of cream. Top with a sprinkle of fresh grated parmesan cheese and a couple of small basil leaves for an added touch.

Bella's Rosemary Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
This recipe was easy and delicious. I used 4 tablespoons of butter and only 1 tablespoon of oil (vs. 3 and 3). I used extra virgin olive oil instead of vegetable and also added in 3 tablespoons of minced garlic. Very good.

Insalata Caprese II

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
I used this recipe as a general guideline. I added a side of spinach leaves and used a store bought greek feta dressing instead of making my own. Very good.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
This recipe was great. I added in a 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream and it was amazing! I also used a little extra salt, oregano and added in some garlic powder to the flour mixture. So good! Next time, I may add in some sauteed onion rings and use less butter.

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
This recipe was a hit at Easter dinner. I made this with a side of "Wasabi - Jalapeno Sauce" (also from this site). This was hard to form into patties, so I actually used Stove Top stuffing instead of bread crumbs and doubled up on the amount.

Jambalaya II

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2005
I thought this recipe was outstanding. My boyfriend was wow'ed by it. I used two large chicken breasts, cubed, and simmered them in a small amount of chicken broth. I baked the sausage in the oven for about 20 mins and added both to the spicy vegetables. I cooked the rice (I used long grain brown rice) separately in chicken broth and used about a tablespoon of each of the spicy ingredients in addition to 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning. Excellent.

Sunshine Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2005
This was easy and great. It amazing how much they can charge for this in diners; its just a piece of bread and an egg, haha. My boyfriend made this for me, and he says that it was amazing because he is such a good cook; I'm sure that is the reason I loved it.
