I've been cooking since childhood. Attended culinary school for a while and decided I didn't want to do it for a living but I love to cook. I enjoy spending time cooking for my wife and two daughters. The challenge is making something for the picky eater of the group and still be able to try new recipes. My ladies think I'm the best chef around.
My favorite things to cook
Itailan: sauce, raviolis, lasagna, meatballs,
all kinds of brunch items, variety of chili styles,
tailgate foods before Sundays big game
Seafood and appetizers that look different from what everyone else does
My favorite family cooking traditions
Traditional New England Thanksgiving dinner.
Homemade lasagna on Christmas
Stuffed leg of lamb on Easter
Grilled everything for the croud on the 4th
My cooking triumphs
After years of competition with my Dad...I finally made the perfect meatball and sauce. Dad still says his is best but the rest of the family gave me the nod.
My cooking tragedies
Made a giant batch of New England clam chowder for a charity event only to find at the end ther were mealy worms in the flour. I didn't see the little suckers until it was almost done.
