These are awesome. I didn't use shortening - just doubled the butter. Omitted nuts and added choc chips. Amazing!

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
I made a few changes: I doubled the pasta (could have added even more no problem) and I had to use all cheddar (can't get velveeta here) but it was still awesome! Thanks for the recipe.

Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
AMAZING!!!! Even after my attempts at making it a little healthy!!! I used wholemeal SR flour as well as the baking soda. I substituted half a cup of applesauce for half a cup of oil and cut out about half a cut of sugar. Really yummy! Thanks for the recipe!

Sweet Potato Pound Cake

Absolutely beautiful. Seriously. Loved it!! So did my neighbour (she also wants to bottle the scent for an air freshener). Only changes I made was to bake in 2 loaf pans and I omitted the glaze. Fantastic!!!! Thanks for the recipe - it's a keeper!

Three Cheese Manicotti II

Really yum! Only thing I had to change was that I used some Jack as I ran out of Mozzarella. Also used fresh basil instead of dried. Yum!

My husband and I loved this! I didn't have brown sugar so I used white sugar and molasses. Thanks for the recipe - I'm going to use it again tomorrow night for a BBQ!

Yumm! These set perfectly. I use rolled oats not the quick cooking and I added about 2/3 cup of coconut with the oats.

Amazing. Not only does it taste good but it's super easy. I didn't change a thing other than using low fat everything and it still tasted great!

Hearty Mince

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
So I've already reviewed this once. Just wanted to say that I add two carrots, two zucchinis, and a red pepper (all diced) to my mince. An easy way to get kids (and my husband) to eat veggies.

Only changes I made was to use all butter and add 1/4 cup flour. Spread a little but not bad at all. Thanks for such a yummy, easy recipe!

King Ranch Chicken Casserole II

I'd never heard of this casserole but thought I would give it a shot. Very yummy but you need to add more crushed chips on top each time you have it for leftovers for extra oomph :o)

No Roll Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
Okay so I doctored this up but it was so easy to do and tasted SO yum that I'm sure the base recipe would be 5 stars. I used 1 cup butter as I didn't have shortening, I used 1 tsp of peppermint essence and 1/2tsp of vanilla. I added a cup of choc chips and green coloring. Basically I made Mint Choc-chip cookies. YUM!!!

Taffy Apple Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2005
While it does take a while to make (especially cutting the caramels) this recipe is well worth it! Keep in mind it is sweet and dense but really good - smaller portions recommended. One of my husband's single guy friends even buys me the caramels so that I will make the cake!

Sour Cream Chicken Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2005
I love quiche and have been a staunch fan of the ham/bacon and cheese variety. This is both mine and my husband's new favourite! Used sharp cheddar and mozzarella, and chilli powder instead of nutmeg.
