About this Cook
Been a professional baker/cake decorator for 15 years, now a mixologist. I have been on this site since 04' but honestly never thought of writing something or editing my profile until now. I've loved this site and find myself coming back to it more and more for something different and have recently started to read the blogs here. VERY INTERESTING!

Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potatoes
It's funny how everyone rates this recipe, then changes the whole thing. If you follow it exactly, don't skip the paprika or the poultry seasoning, you have 5 star perfection! I've made this several times making extra to have on hand because it's perfect on roasted chicken, or beer but chicken as well!

Black Magic Cake
I rarely EVER write reviews on any recipes but felt this was the BEST cake I've ever made or have eaten! Have been a professional baker/cake decorator for 14 years and have made my share of cakes. Don't substitute anything in the ingredients! DO either use parchment, or generously grease your pans. Also the suggestion of placing the cake in the freezer for a bit for ease of handling is recommended. I've always "worked" with a partially frozen cake to make decorating easier. I used bakers one bowl frosting to which I added about 2 TBSP cocoa for a more intense chocolate flavor but this cake stands chocolaty enough on it's own and NEEDS nothing!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream
Absolutely the bast pasta! I have been making this for years. This actually is out of an old Authentic Italian cookbook I had. Try it you'll love it!
