Easy Cheap and Yummy Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2013
I lowered the temp to 375. Added 1/2 chopped onion and a drained can of corn. Drained a little of the sauce from the beans so it wouldn't be that wet. I'm gluten free so used a gluten free cornmeal mix. Also added cheese to the cornbread mix. This turned out wonderfully and will be making this again. It was a big hit. This would be great for a family picnic...........

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2013
Love this recipe. I have a wheat allergy so I used my gluten free (bionaturae brand) noodles. These are the only noodles to hold up to any pasta dish. I also added 1/2 diced onion and 6 slices thick bacon. Both onion and bacon sauted together and added to the sauce. I leave the bread crumbs off all together.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
These were great. I did add 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika. Will add 1/2 tsp. next time. I followed one suggestion of cooking in the microwave to cut down on the oven time by 1/2 an hour. The next night I reheated it for an hour at 350 (covered)and placed two pork loins on top. I turned the loins over after 1/2 cooking. This was great. When I make them again. I'm going to cook the loins with the beans. It made a great meal.

Hush Puppies I

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
I checked this recipe with my old betty crooker picture cookbook. This is the exact same recipe. The only difference is the frying temp. The cookbook says to fry at 375. Which is what I did. They turned out just as I had remembered as a teenager making them for the first time 30 years ago. There is one thing I did do and that was add 1/4 cup of maza flour to thicken it up a little. They turned out great.

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
HI, I forgot to rate this last July. I did this for my husband's 50th birthday party I used a tritip steak instead of the flank and marinated it overnight. It was a big hit with everyone. Will do again. Just wonderful.

Cherry Surprises

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
These did end up tasting like butter. I had even changed out the orange juice for rum. Thinking it would make it taste better. No such luck. Now I have a fridge full of butter flavor covered cherries....... Will not do again.

It became the best with the following additions. Zest one large orange and add 1/4 teaspoon nutmag and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Add these to the rest of the ingredients and blend well. Turned out very good. Will do this again, and again and again.

Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
I made these but different. I used Necoa margarine for the butter, almond butter instead of peanut butter. I used organic semi sweet chocolate chips for the butterscotch and in place of walnuts I used a cup of dried cranberrys. They turned out just great. Will make this again. The reason for the changes is food allergys. Dairy and peanut allergys.

Tuscan Cream Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
This is wonderful. I'm alleric to cheese and the tofu cream cheese worked wonderfully and no one new it wasn't cream cheese. I also subsituted the roasted red peppers for the sun dried tomatos and whipped it all up in a food prosser making that much faster. Will do this again. It's a keeper. 5 star winner...
