All American Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
I am amazed at the cooks who want to throw this in a crock pot or add veggies and potatoes to this. This is a Roast Beef, not Pot Roast, or a Crock Pot Roast. 2 totally different foods. This is an excellent recipe for Roast Beef. It should be cooked in the OVEN to ROAST for best possible flavor. In a crock pot your meats get steamed. That's why it falls apart when you take it out. Don't get me wrong. I love my crock pot, but when you want to make Roast Beef you use the oven. Anyway made as written. Give 10 stars if I could. Excellent. I did use beef stock to make a gravy, because Eye of the Round is not usually used for gravy making. Very little fat. I cooked it, cooled it down and refrigerated it so I could slice the next day. YUMMY!

Great wings! My only change was that I used chile sauce instead of tomato sauce. My husband and son loved them.

Jewish Apple Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
OMG This was so easy to make and smelled delicious cooking in the oven. I added more apples cause I love apples in every bite. I added the apples all over, not just in the middle. Other than that I made it as is...YUMMY!

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
Not that this needs a another 5 star review, but this rocks! Tastes better than a Honey Baked and sooo much cheaper. Used a Cooks spiral cut. $17 compared to $60! YUMMY. Baste Baste Baste as another reviewer said. I basted about every 15 minutes.

Dilled Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
I wanted to change it up a little, but I am glad I did not! This was fabulous. I brought it to a school luncheon...and it's all gone! The flavor was delish after sitting over night. The only thing I did change was the amount of milk. I only added about a 1/3 of a cup. I like thicker dressings. Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing. Maybe next time I will add cukes to the mix...Can't miss with this one...PREFECTO!!!!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
Doesn't need another 5 star review, but I felt compelled to address the sogginess issue of the pork chops. You fry them to keep the juices in. It seals the pork chops. Of course they won't be crunchy...no matter how long you fry it...sitting in a gravy. It will be soft. Anyway....Very tasty. just added mushrooms. Delish!

Mid-Summer Italian Bread Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
Excellent flavors!!!I didn't have balsamic vinegar, so I used Paul Newmans Balsamic Italian dressing. It was delish with fresh veggies from my garden. I did serve the bread on the side, toasted, as others stated. People ate it that way, if they wanted to toss all together they could.

Cajun Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
Superior. I would give it 10 stars if I could. The only thing different I added was a little white wine. I didn't have lemon pepper, I had garlic pepper so I used it and added lemon juice instead, and used EVOO instead of veggie oil. Tasted like Outback's Chicken on the Barbie. I marinated them for about 4 hours, cooked them out on the grill and basted them with left over marinade. You won't be sorry to try this! YUMMY!!!

Chicken Enchiladas I

This was delicious. The only things I changed was no tomato sauce and no water. I used enchilada sauce instead, and I topped it with a medium salsa instead of taco sauce. Otherwise a keeper!

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
This is a lovely crisp waffle as stated. I did add a touch more sugar and butter, but YUM! They held up great to syrup and butter. I have been trying mixes for a while and never found what I was looking for. This fills the bill. This is just as easy as opening up a box. I always have the ingredients on hand too. Very easy to whip up. 5+ stars!

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2010
I know this doesn't need another 5 star review, but just wanted to add my 2 cents. Reading all the reviews, I did add sour cream and chocolate chips to my chocolate dough. Other than that I made it just as is. I was worried about the cooking time so I started out cooking the first batch at 7 minutes. second batch at 8 and third at 9. The first batch came out very soft, when cooled tasted like a reeces peanut butter cup cookie. YUM,but soft. The second was a little more firm and the last being the 9 minutes a firm peanut butter cookie. All were delicious, but I would definately make them again and only cook them until 7 minutes in my oven. Left out, They do get hard. I made them the night before, put them out on Friday morning and they were all gone by noon, except one. I kept it off to the side and tried it at about 2. It was definately drier, but still YUMMY. Great recipe...Thanks Steph!
