Sausage Gravy I

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2004
Sounds like a broken record, but this was excellent :) Followed this recipe to the "T". Used Jimmy Deans Hot Sausage. Never made it before today. Hubby and son ate it all up, they raved about it. Will use again. Thanks for the super easy recipe. Great for Sunday morning breakfast! Now on to try the Biscuits in the other reviews. Thanks Rene

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
This was delicious. The only things I changed was no tomato sauce and no water. I used enchilada sauce instead, and I topped it with a medium salsa instead of taco sauce. Otherwise a keeper!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
This was excellent! I used everything listed but I added roasted garlic and onion flavored diced tomatoes and served as a sandwich on a toasted bun with mozzarella cheese and for hubby pepper jack cheese. Served with roasted potatoes. YUMMY. This is a keeper.

Cajun Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
Superior. I would give it 10 stars if I could. The only thing different I added was a little white wine. I didn't have lemon pepper, I had garlic pepper so I used it and added lemon juice instead, and used EVOO instead of veggie oil. Tasted like Outback's Chicken on the Barbie. I marinated them for about 4 hours, cooked them out on the grill and basted them with left over marinade. You won't be sorry to try this! YUMMY!!!

Green Bean and Mushroom Medley

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
Very tasty. Used fresh ingredients from the garden. It was all eaten up. I did use less salt than requested. Only used season salt, and just a quarter teaspoon.

Chicken a la King I

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
Very good. The only thing different I did was use heavy cream instead of milk and fat free low sodium chicken broth instead of the bullion and water. The only other suggestion I have is should be served with rice. Noodles don't do it justice. JMTC

Mid-Summer Italian Bread Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
Excellent flavors!!!I didn't have balsamic vinegar, so I used Paul Newmans Balsamic Italian dressing. It was delish with fresh veggies from my garden. I did serve the bread on the side, toasted, as others stated. People ate it that way, if they wanted to toss all together they could.

Chocolate Mousse Cake IV

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
Cut down to half of the water, and added 1/4 teaspoon of Cream of Tartar to the whipping cream, like others suggested. I used a box cake and it was DELICIOUS! OMG this is my new favorite. It was devoured by everyone...Not a crumb left. Like the saying goes...Try it, you'll like it!

Chicken in Creamy Pan Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
I did add a little to this after reading the reviews. Used whole package of cream cheese. Added white wine to the broth before cream cheese was added. Also added some garlic, Italian seasonings and Tastefull Simple Spinach and Herb mix to the chicken as it cooked. Served it with rice...brown rice would be very good also. It turned out fantastic! Thanks

London Broil

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
This is great. I didn't have lemon pepper, but had garlic pepper, so I swapped out and added just the lemon juice. Just a little cause I am not a lemony person. Also had no tarragon vinegar but did have tarragon, so again I swapped out and just added tagrragon and used balsamic vinegar. Just heavenly!

Not that it needs another positive review, but this was fabulous! Stuck to the recipe to the most part, used fresh spinach ,added white wine, and did not use lemon, because I forgot. I aslo suateed the chicken lightly and did not bake it as directed. All in all it was a huge sucess! Thanks for the new recipe!

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
My first time making dumplings. Never really ate them before but I will now! Light and fluffy. OMGoodness this is delicious! I added broth instead of water and a few different minor spices (personal preferences) but otherwise followed recipe. Added some leftover turkey too. Really easy to follow, and will become a family favorite! Thanks!
